In an interview I have read with Steve Cunningham on a Polish boxing website, he speaks of potentially a move up to HW.

"Being realistic this is more possible now then ever, I have no problem with making weight, but this catergory (CW) simply gets no attention from any of the TV stations."

Indeed it would strictly be for the money. He even said himself that the media does not care about the CW division.. meaning there is no money in it.

If Adamek makes his move to HW which he has been planning for some time now, he may just be better off going to HW to try to avenge that loss.

He doesn't have any power at CW so doubt that's a big concern...

    Cunningham should stay at cruiserweight.

If Adamek beats Golota and stays at heavy then i think Cunningham will rule the cruisers.

More power to him Cruiser is dead. The champs are fighting guys like Golota and Ramirez rather than the guys who deserve it and there is very little excitement. Cruiser is in dire need of a Super Six, but that won't happen. But yeah, more power to him, I'm sure he makes 205-210 quite easily. I think I like his prospects!:good

the more talented, in shape guys in the hw division the better. hopefully these cruisers will get rid of the **** heavies who hold on purely because they were good once

Bad idea. He'll get chinned by anybody other than maybe Zuri Lawrence.

The traffic needs to be heavier in the other direction - the smallish heavyweights should be hitting the bike and cutting down to Cruiser.

I think Cunningham can do well at HW until he meets up with somebody like...Arreola.

He has no problem making weight & if I'm not mistaken, regularly weighs well under the Cruiser limit of 200lbs?

He's not big enough to campaign at the higher weight & if he does move up, he will be giving away a lot of poundage to whoever he faces! I mean, its the same as someone like Haye, who did struggle some-what to make 200lbs, thus him now being at HW!

I like Cunnigham - he clearly lives the life, he's dedicated, but if he moves to HW I hope he compensated very nicely!

It's a marvel he can continually make Cruiserweight with his frame. I think moving up and not cutting himself to shreds like that (even if he can make the weight) might actually allow him to take a better punch.

A similar phenomenon is happening with Khan and I think it'll happen with Jason Litzau, too. Sometimes moving up allows fighters to take a better shot.
