Just watched it on you tube, was a great spar! I like the way bellew is useing the shoulder roll, garcia looks more like a lightheavyweight than supermiddle, but i was surprised he had bellew on the back foot, as bellew is a former heavyweight. They both landed flush on shots once or twice both tuck them very well.

I don't think that Tony got out of first gear in that spar...he didn't have too.

Tony looked very comfortable, picked his shots well and made Garcia do all the work...:yep

I think that Tony Bellew boxing off the back foot aint a bad thing, with his power it will lead to a lot more KO's when his opponents come looking to get there own shots off....:bbb

It was a good spar and I enjoyed it to be fair, He was actually heavier than me.. I always start on the back foot and have a good look first.. Im just looking forward to fighting someone of his level, Noo good doing it in the gym, He was shocked though, He thought he was coming to play with me as he'd never heard of me, BUT got a shock when we got going!!:good

You could see he got a bit of a shock when you court him with that great right as you come of the ropes tony, how many rounds did you do? who had the better of the over all spar?

It was a good spar mate, We did 8 rounds and I'd say I landed the harder shots while he landed some of the more eye catching stuff, I blocked, slipped and rolled an awful lot of his stuff although he did get better as the spar went along mate as I did myself, McCory was impressed and said he ain't seen him pushed so hard so I was happy with that compliment...

He got just as good as he give, He was also heavier than me too!! I think he undersestimated me to be honest, Thought it was gonna be a walk in the park where as I knew it was gonna be a hard one and was game for it, I'd heard what he'd been doing to Froch and Sutherland so I was well prepared..;)
