Team Cotto wants to be in very good shape before the press conference starts. The press conference's always take a toll on fighters and its hard to train while doing them but Team Cotto is already sparring with fighters in anticipation to the major clash on November 14th!

Team Cotto also mentioned in other articles working on cutting off the ring with smarts, not just rushing in or doing anything of that nature. They know that Team Pacman requested a 24 foot ring and Cotto and his crew are working on a strategy that will lure Pacman into a battle

I Heard he will be calling on calderon amongst others but it looks like he was moslty hitting the bags and such and did some work with a Frankie Santos.

Calderon isn't actually a bad choice if Pacquiao is playing to stick-and-move - which is what it sounds like. He'll have to get used to trying to hunt down a guy fighting on the outside who's small and hard to hit, and Calderon ticks all the boxes in that respect.

good move by cotto`s team, cotto is one of the most versatile boxers today, he will try to cut off the ring with calderon`s aid and I also think they will go back to using that piston jab of his (see mosley fight)

Hope Cotto doesnt overtrain. He seems very serious about this one though.

Yep to early i feel. He will peak to soon.

IMO its silly. How many fighters have you seen peak to early in training because they over trained.

My thoughts exactly over trained, However if its light work just to get the rythem and timing down he should be fine.

seems like a trend with different fighters fighting pacquioa. they start training camp early get weight of to quickly and are past there peak. (Hatton and DLH). i just hope cotto does not make the same mistake.

Last i read from a p.r news paper they interviewd his trainer and he said low to mid 150's, and they will edge closer to 145 with about 3 weeks till fight night.

he better take it easy, or else he'll overtrain.
