That's so true. He goes so well to the body as a pro now aswell, hence my slightly premature bodysnatcher comparrison I did.

With his mouth he better back it up in the ring. If he does then he could be huge.

degale. not because i rate him as such, but because he has that hate factor, and is similar to david haye in that he will talk his way rather than fight, into a positioin where he cannot be ignored and get a title fight.

A forgotten man over the last year or so with injuries I think Kevin Mitchell may well be the next Warren fighter to get the push to World title level and beyond that. As out of the new pros on the scene it is way to early to say they will be the next big thing all have to show they want it first but Maloney seems to have the best out of the lot with his fighters.

By Marquee names do you mean names that the non-boxing fan will know?

If so, everyone already knows who Khan is due to the olympics and the ITV exposure.

Froch and Haye after they destroy Kessler and Valuez in the next months or so will be marquee names. Alot of my mates aint got a clue who either of these are.

After that, Jamie Moore looks fecking awesome recently and being a Manc he'll get a mainstream fanbase. Think he'll walk through Rhodes and secure a WBC title shot which I'm confindent he will win.

Kell Brook is awesome but he's in a solid weight division. He'll beat Jenning by KO in 7. Selcuk Aydin is Euro champ. Don't know much about him but he's undefeated. Maybe someone with more knowledge about the euro scene can tell me if his career is padded or not?

Clevery is Euro manditory to fight Silvio Branco, but according to Boxrec Branco is fighting Jean Pascal for WBC title so dunno who Cleverly will face. Murat possibly?

Another is John Murray. I expect him to walk through Thaxton. He's also mandatory for EBU belt and I think he'd destory Mezzache in 6. Lightweight is another tough world division though, and think unless he improves his defence he'll come short. Although that hasnt stopped Carl Froch.

By Marquee names I mean someone who will top a big Vegas show and sell big. I am talking someone like Hatton et al...

Thing about Jaffa is he is a little limited for his region. Newcastle aren't exactly going to follow him, so the only big region he's getting is ours. I do think England are going to give him a fair reception but as big as Hatton's, no way. Hatton has Manchester behind him but could fuel both football teams, and such, a bigger crowd. Sunderland is Sunderland, and as that stands, is pushing against the bigger team, no matter how many divisions they drop, they're still the bigger draw. It will take some real knockout fights to get Jaffa a national superstar. But still, I hope for him, even if he is heading for disappointment as a region.

Froch is heading for it too btw, but not in the way Jaffa is. Froch will just go to a UD, then a comeback then more UD's. He doesn't hang at World class for rounds, he's just got knockout power, and believe me, the KO power will diminish as will his chin, and one will go before the other. Lets make an interesting bet, which goes first?

Whatever is marketed will be the next marquee, learn your lesson. Enjoy your Khan and then your Olympian. Welcome to Warren World. He hold's the cheques.

Gavin is fighting at 142, strange.

Well maybe not, I suppose he is only 23, maybe he will fill out to 147.

Do you really believe putting Cleverly in with Jones is a good idea ?? Roy maybe 40 and a shadow of his 90s genius, but he'd still treat Cleverly with absolute contempt .... Lets be real, patriotism and supporting a fighter is great but im a Brit and im still listening to arguments that say 'Cooper could have beaten Ali', 'Calzaghe was one of the greatest champions ever', 'If Eubank or Benn would have fought Jones in the 90s they would have won' ..... All these arguments are ridiculous, and if anybody really believes them, they should put they're bias to one side and learn something about boxing ....... Cleverly v Jones is one of the funniest things ive ever heard, put Cleverly in with Jones when Jones is 102 years old, thats the only way i can see him getting a victory .. How is Cleverly being mentioned in the same breath as Roy Jones ?? The Brit forum is going downhill, i think i need to post more on here to raise the standards ..

Frankie Gavin is the absolute stand-out of the fighters ive seen over the last few years in Britain .. But thats no guarantee of success, he's going to operate in divisions that always have great talents he aint Calzaghe who had the safety of a threadbare 168 division for 12 years ..
But i like the way Gavin puts his punches together and his overall movement, its far more professional than anything Degale has shown me and to be honest Khan still looks like an amatuer to me but his phenomenal speed keeps him out of danger so he really doesnt have to prove that he can 'Fight' at this moment in time, but that day will come. When Amir has to stand and fight, he will be finished, as he would have been protected for so long that he wont know what a real fight is, so he wont be prepared for it, like Naz .......... Khan and Naz, its the same story playing out in front of my very eyes ....
