I agree with him. Buster Douglas fought a perfect fight to beat Tyson. I told my friends days before the fight that Tyson would lose.
I was in 8th grade when it happened. Did not see the fight live, but was shocked when a friend told me what happened. Got a copy of it on VHS a couple of days letter, and was mesmerized by this fight.
Try telling that to the Tysonites. They hate reality in the extreme! There must always be a hypothetical to save them from mental meltdown. But then, this is boxing. Hypothetical scenarios are the most essential type of psychiatric medication.
It is true. He told me that Tyson was going to get KOED for sure and I tried to get him committed. Seriously - we thought he had lost it. Turns out, we were the ones humiliated. Flatty picked it perfectly. He always knew that Douglas would beat any version of Tyson.
Great talent with inconsistent moments due to success: Tyson, Lewis, Holyfield, Bowe, Ibeabuchi, McCall, Douglas Today's era: Large, timid, and pathetic Large, semi-athletic, and average Fat, untalented, and unmotivated Small, untalented, and unfit :dead:barf:dead
and why didn't Oliver drop a 20 at the sportsbook had he foreseen this? He coulda retired with the odds at the time.
Most people look at McCall as being a crazy guy, but most don't realize how intelligent he is. The 1st time I met him, he was running around the gym shirtless, yelling, laughing and carrying on. It was a bit off putting because I thought that he was a head case. I walked over and introduced myself to him. He calmed down in an instant and started acting like a perfect gentleman. We talked about some of his fights and he gave me some boxing tips. When we were finished, he started back in to his tirade. He was just goofying and having fun while he trained. He, and everyone around him, was having a great time.
