Norton's chin has been blow out of proportion in my opinion.

Sure he was not iron chinned, but he was not glass chinned neither.

Against guys like Foreman, Shavers and Cooney, probably EVERYBODY and ANYBODY is gonna look glass chinned :scaredas:

Foster has a marginal puncher's chance, but Kenny wins this one IMO

I agree with this, wholeheartedly. I often watch the knockouts Ken suffered, and they were quite brutal. Not quick shots or sudden flash kayoes. He took massive punches from brutal punchers.

    Exactly my point.

We need to put things in perspective: Kenny fought in a time when some of the best HW hitters ever were in his prime :scaredas:

Sure, he was not the toughest cookie in the ring, but he was not the weakest neither

No offense to anybody. But, sometimes it is kind of upsetting for me to see how much fuss is made about Norton's "glass chin".

Frazier was blow 6 times in 2 rounds by a walking Foreman, but we don't see posts about Frazier's "glass chin" :yep

Add that Ali had Frazier hurt worse than he ever managed to get Norton.

Not that Norton is tougher than Frazier, you can just find many examples of his chin being decently sturdy. It just took a beyond sturdy beard to handle Shavers, Cooney, Foreman and the like.

Of course I am not saying that Kenny is tougher than Frazier.

It is just an bad example I made in a hurry, to show what I consider the lack of love for Kenny's chin :rofl

Foster loses to yet another top class heavyweight. Ken would be too big and strong.

Foster was a hard hitting LIGHT-Heavyweight.

Bob's power didn't carry over with the heavies, he might stun Kenny, it seemed he buzzed Ali at one point and caught Joe with a nice right hand, but he isn't going to put Ken down and eventually Norton will end it.

Norton stops Foster. Foster was a much more dominant LH than Norton was a HW but foster was not able to handle HW's. Foster was a dynamic puncher but not physically strong enough to handle HW's and Norton was a physically strong HW.
