do you think it was oscar age or weight that made him look so poor against manny.. i think that 147 thing sealed his fate and at 54' he might have been a bit more lively

Both. + add desire into it aswell.
(I don't deny Oscar's intent, But his fire wasn't what it was say a decade ago)

not voting ! (later changed to cotto by decision)
hoya wouldn't have taken such a dangerous fight at this point of his career. look at hoya's and trinidad's common oponents and see that hoya always fought them after seeing them beaten by trinidad.
hoya was more picky than trinidad. for his defence - he was also smaller.
too tough question , also pending if it's a post or pre cheato cotto.
the 'post' one would have been shot even if he'd won.
we also know that hoya wasn't peak either , saw the pac fight.
cotto at above 147 wouldn't even be as small as pac and had more power. pac stopped hoya alledgedly without power. cotto could also.
we saw hoya at 154 couldn't stop steve forbes (no disrespect for mr. forbes , but he was weaker than pac and smaller than cotto)
cotto also had an underrated chin , at least above 140.
sometimes fighters gain or at least maintain chin moving up in weight.
look at toney floored by reggie johnson at 160 , and his chin more than held at higher weights. look at cotto himself after moving to 147.
look at : hoya , byrd , tarver (hopkins fight) , jones coming down.
so , no hoya by stoppage i say.
hoya is not someone expected to stop his oponent late and no way
he stops cotto early. cheato couldn't. just shows you cotto's chin.
so it ranges from cotto by stoppage to hoya by decision.
i think a pre cheato cotto had a good chance of outpointing dlh.
a peak cotto was never outpointed , though few will say mosley.
hoya , however was outpointed and maybe deserved more such times.
so hoya is the more outpointable of the two.
hoya does have a height advantage over cotto which still counts.
147 and above hoya was too cautios. both tend to gas late so no late stoppage for cotto either and i wouldn't underestimate even pac's hoya to think he would have been stopped early against cotto.
so , no stoppage for either.
cotto by decision or hoya by decision ? i pick cotto by a small margin.
i can understand those who'd pick hoya by decision also. it's a close call.

Oscar is past it, but I still think Oscar today, well trained, and motivated can bang at 154 still....

but I think cotto would on a close decision at 154, i envision cotto a tiny jr. middle...

i'm not sure cotto is strong enough to repeat what bernard did.
after all cotto came from 140 to 147.
oscar came from 130 to 160 and easily back to 154.
hopkins somehow made 156 for his fight with oscar. later rose to 175 and there are even talks of him fighting at more than that. i don't think that a balooned cotto at 150 or above has hopkins' power at 156 to repeat that body shot.

I'd go with Oscar at 154 by KO.
