Because after a few months on here its pretty obvious to me that Fleaman makes the more intelligent points, and that you cant have a conversation with someone who has different views to you

As opposed to saying they were "ruined", I'll just say that Fernando Vargas and Meldrick Taylor never fully recovered from their losses to J.C. Chavez and Tito Trinidad. They were both formidable fighters afterwards, with Taylor scoring the 2nd best win of his career after JCC, but neither guy was 100% of what they were, and had quick downfalls. They took too much punishment in general, and Chavez and Trinidad were the worst beatings they took in fights.

I think that his promoters see Peter as ruined, or they wouldn't be reaching as low as they have in Bellamy. The guy has lost 8 in a row and 9 out of his last 11, getting stopped 6 out of 9 (3 KO and 3 TKO).

The dude barely has a pulse, and the former HW champion is fighting him? :nut He should be able to KTFO this guy in under 30 seconds.

Peter has sunk so low that it is sad.

Edit: I think I'll go w/ Cotto being ruined in two fights. Pacman should get a lot of credit for beating him so badly, especially without concrete!:yep

    Additions:

    Kessler by Calzaghe.
    Pavlik by Hopkins.
    Arreola by Klitschko and burritos.
    Juan Diaz by JMM.

    :rasta

    Additions in the near future:
    Berto by Mosley
Khan by his chin (fill in any opponent here)

Joe Calzaghe was ruined by Roy Jones. Not in the sense that he took a beating, but that he didn't take a beating. He left the fight delusionally thinking that he had proved something by beating Jones almost a 1/2 decade after he was beaten by Tarver and clearly not even close to his prime.

This guy felt like that was the last thing he had to do in the sport of boxing to secure his legacy. He spent his years fighting Peter Manfredo and Sakio Bika, then left the sport right before the division started to flood with talent.

It's sad really, sad that not only the world will never know how good Calzaghe was, but Joe himself will never know how good he was.

Roy Jones indirectly ruined Joe Calzaghe's legacy and resume.

I don't buy that. Calzaghe was no spring chicken either and he busted Jones face bloody for the first time in his career his own cut man didn't know what to do.
