we just got a call from a promoter in puerto rico that wants to put josh on this card http://www.boxrec.com/show_display.php?show_id=582184 against this guy http://www.boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=325537&cat=boxer they're gonna pay for everything, plus josh's purse will be 2k for a 6 rounder...... too risky or what :huh
Freddy what are you most worried about? That Josh might still be too inexperienced or that the other fighter can get a hometown decision?
Yeah this is a tough one. The dude has only one defeat. I'd say take a look at that fight and see how he lost. Then make a call.
what's this guy's amateur back ground ? and yes if the fights in Puerto Rico there is always a risk..
http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=165920 here's the video of orlandos only loss... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2oAESQ9Ox1A
Dude looked rather quick until he got caught. His movement was good and his jabs looked very crisp. Has the feeling of a sucker bet. I'd probably pass unless you are 80 percent or more sure that your boy can win.
Even though that's a video of his only loss do you see something in that guy that can beat your boy?......Now Freddy answer that honestly.:good
No Keep superman away, its on very short notice and a lot of travelling, not to mention on the other guy's turf. Plus Josh just fought, and a fight like this takes some preparation, and not just 2 weeks.
Your boy is very good I am surprised he is unsigned If I were him I would not risk going to Puerto Rico although he has fought in Mexico repeatedly. He should stick with Superman name but with the Spanish pronunciation--he seems Blacktino. I don't think he should take the fight this early in his career. I think Josh can beat him but I would not risk it if I were him.
