marquez might be slow(er) at 144 but he's still going to give mayweather jr. all he can handle and might even pull out an upset. besides, speed is not marquez's mantra, it's his intelligence, timing and persistance that makes him such a great fighter.

That was good. Roger is right about Marquez has developed into a style where he sits on all his punches making them harder but slower. In the same process he gets hit alot more than he used to.

 

Marquez's handspeed is slower than Floyd's but I think its still fast enough to compete. I wonder what Nacho's perspective is on Floyd.

 

My point is that Marquez did not bulk up 9 lbs. He states that he will weigh in at 142 and not 144 the two extra lbs probably would have hurt him.

He has worked on punching in a clinch--combos to be exact as well as shortening his punches so I dont think he will be slow in this fight plus PBF has slowed his glove work shows it.
