What Ruined / Ended Tysons Career?

The loss of Cus, There were snakes around him licking their chops when Cus died.

 

I think that Buster was super human that night maby because of his loss before the fight,

Definatly the loss of cus d'amato was a big factor when the leeches got involved,

Prison was another factor which took away his prime, i think if cus had stayed alive to be his trainer for his prime years we would salute Tyson as the greatest ever heavyweight of all time, cus would have kept him out of trouble and shown him the right path,

If only that tart hadnt lied to get her hands on his money, he hadnt fallens out of love with the sport and lost his head, if only . . . .

 

it was Cus I mean your talking about a man who was Mikes only real father figure, and from there he just didnt know who to trust especially with King in his ear talking about the white man this and that.

From there, when he got lied on in a court of law and sent to prison, that didnt help matters neither, what Ruined mike is that he grew up in a tough enviornment and was never really shown how to be or act like a grown man he has had to survive his entire life.

True Cus was a father figure to mike. But i think what ruined his career is his lack of discipline. There were so many incidents that happened inside the ring that could have been avoided.

The biting of holyfield's ear, trying to break botha's arm and there were times where he keeps on hitting his opponent even after the referee already said stop. He just didn't have the discipline and it showed later on in his career when he would ran out of gas after a couple of rounds.

 

I wouldnt say he didnt have discipline the man obviously has a mental illness and people like that do **** thats random like that. Why do you think he ended up on Zoloft?:think

I believe the people that he surrounded himself with is what destroyed him. Number 1 reason.

Yes I agree, he was not the same after Cus' passed away. Once that happen, slowly those that were with him that were part of the original crew were leaked away by the current crew.

And finally, Tyson himself. He simply self destructed. Can you blame him? He grew up in a world that most of us can't even imagine. Eat or be eaten. Than from rags to riches!?? Helluva roller coaster ride if you ask me.
