It's pretty obvious that boricua will root for cotto and the flips will root for pacquiao. I can see a lot of american fans rooting for marquez in this fight since floyd is not actually a fan favorite in america:lol:

Yoco I love your passion though I can't say I support your hate for pinoys...the ones I've met have been stand up people...and the chicks are quite attractive though once the drawers drop they can become a bit weary of the pain that lies ahead lol!

the catchweight thing pissed me off a bit. Not enough to root against Pac but enough to just see through the BS that Roach and Team Pac to make Cotto give in to concessions.

I've never rooted AGAINST Miguel Cotto but Its going to be weird when I have to. How anybody can root against these guys based on what they do inside and outside the ring is beyond me.

I just see it as rooting for Pacquiao to win, not necesarilly meaning ill will against Cotto in anyway. His fans have been classy so far on the board. Not really much of a rivalry between the 2 countries.

i'm pinoy just to clear things up.

I'm Mexican-American and have never been a big fan of Marquez (he comes off a little too whiny at times) but I respect him and all that he has accomplished. That being said, I hope Floyd whoops his ass, the fight I really want to see is Floyd vs. Pacquiao.

I'm well aware of the obvious selections...I'm looking for the opposite.

Ahh that's refreshing information sir...I totally agree with your veiw on these fighters. I find it difficult to root against both men as both seem to be an excellent combination of fighter and human.

Excellent! That's exactly what I'm looking for. Do you feel floyd is just that much superior or do you feelings fall more towards your dislike for jmm?

everyone's got some personal flaw, I just can't conceive why being whiny u would root against him. Interesting though. He lost a very close fight and was visibly upset. the worst part of this sport is it comes down to judges who get a very different view of a fight.

I find most pinoys appreciate jmm's skill set and craft. Its a fine quality in a group, though the so called *******s can become a bit excessive.

Just ridiculous at the amount of hate to both JMM and Floyd. ESB a year from now, there won't be any *******s left when Manny hangs it up.

I can honestly say I will be rooting against Floyd as a fellow American. I don't buy the gangster persona but its not why I'm rooting against him. He plays the bad guy which is what people fail to understand. He's just playing a role.

I know what Jopez is getting at, I think its a valid reason to root against JMM. Everyone wants to see Pac vs Mayweather but I think everybody also wants to root for the underdog which is going to JMM.

Would love to see him pull of the upset and have a Mayweather-JMM II. Would force Pac into fighting someone lie...uhh Timothy Bradley or Edwin Valero.:yep

I'm undecided about who to root for between Cotto and Pac, big fan of both. I am not Mexican, but I do want to see Marquez as the victor v. PBF. Even though PBF has a lot of advantages, I can't stand him because of his character outside of the ring (sometimes in it too).

i never really give a **** about country alliegance in boxing.... i couldnt care less really, but in the case of JMM vs Mayweather, im rooting for mayweather only for the good of boxing so he can go on to fight Pac or Cotto in a superfight.

With Cotto vs Pac.... neather are my countrymen, but even if Pac was the ultimate american, id still be rooting for cotto.
