I have seen him a few times, and every single time there is controversy. A few fights at Munroe vs Martinez II were dodgy, as were a couple on Murray vs McAllister - who was at the helm? Michael Alexander! Mickey Vann had a reputation (unfairly IMO) for giving bias to the 'away' fighter. Alexander seems programmed to go to the house fighter no matter what and raise his arm. He might have been put on his ass five times and embarrassed, but still.....
My point is that if anyone should have said they did not want a rematch I would have thought it would be the guy who got brutally ko'd not the one who won the fight. Then you piped up with your "don't try to say it was a walk in the park for Lindsay" crap, I said it didn't look that tough for Lindsay, I didn't say it was a walk in the park - that is you trying to put words in my mouth Kosaros.
"It didn't look that tough for Martin" - you were severely underestimating how tough it was for him, and yes, I agree that it should have been Derry calling for the rematch, which I am sure is what he did to no avail. OK Patrick?
You are misunderstanding me here, I'm saying if anyone would not want the rematch I thought it would be Matthews, not Lindsay. Moorser said that Lindsay didn't want it. That's why I asked Moorser if he got it the wrong way around, do you get what I'm saying Kosaros? I meant it didn't look that tough for Lindsay in comparison to what Matthews went through in the fight, not to imply it was easy or a walk in the park as it clearly wasn't easy for either boxer.
patrick, there you go the ref had mathews up by 6 rounds going into the 8th and you think martin wasnt getting outboxed?albeit he done the job with that lovely shot!
One of the worst stoppages i've ever seen, hope your well Derry... Glad to see you wanting to get a move on with your career. Seems everything was going so well up until the Choi loss. Whats made you feel that Hayemaker are not the people to take you forward? The Setanta thing has held them up but they seem on the verge of big things, just need that Sky deal. It will be good to see you back in the mix. Its going to take a good 18 months and a number of meaningful wins to get you back amongst the top domestically- all the best pal.... 25 is nothing, you've got bags of time.
How's that funny? If you don't agree then please elaborate:good. This over the WBU? I saw that more as a stepping stone, tbh.
cheers guys just had a bit of bad luck i think, but i wont to prove not only to the public but to myself that i have still got what it takes to be a champ still feel fresh and am ready to move forward
