Marvis wasn't a bad boxer. He only lost to Holmes and Tyson. He beat Tillis, Bonecrusher Smith and Bugner. Not HoF, but not embarrassing either.

Theres plenty of kids coming out now whos dad were fighters.

Wilfredo Vasquez Jr is pretty nice. His dad was a two time champ.

Camacho jr has skills but no heart or desire.

James McGirt Jr is soft. Dad was good.

    Ronny hearns sucks

    Floyd Mayweather Sr:

"Name me one boxer’s son that did better than his father. Only my boy and that’s because I didn’t spoil him when he was little. He worked hard and I taught him to always stay in shape.

    Erik Morales and Tito Trinidad

Although I get what Floyd Sr is saying to the fullest.

J.C. Jr. may yet win a world tittle/championship. I have heard good things about Omar Chavez as well.

Yeah, I think he was talking about top pro boxers' sons being good.

To be fair though Floyd Sr wasn't exactly a top pro boxer. A good fighter certainly but to me, Roger was the better one in my estimation.

What is the defention of FAILED or Excelled ?
If the father is an ATG with 3 or so world championships. Do we hold the son to those same standers? Say the Son wins a championship at one weight and loses in his first defense. Or say the sun at best wins a minor regional title? Or if at best the son becomes a main event boxer on say ESPN, but never wins a title?

in and of itself, getting KO'd by sal sanchez wouldnt mean you sucked
in fact I would venture to say that you had to be pretty good to even fight sal sanchez

These are all very good questions. I think to me it depends on how good your dad was. Hence why I asked if Erik Morales' dad was applicable.
