lopez is definitely the goods, but he still sort of hasn't completely broken out of the propect status even though he has a strap, this kid is the future though trust me
Personally...I don't believe I am WRONG!!! Maybe off on some things...But completely Butt-Azz Worng...NO WAY. You threw a few names from Cotto's early fights 9th and 13th I think...Really??? Do your really believe those are TOP-SHELF ELITE-LEVEL competition!!! Really??? Look, it comes down to this. What you and a host of other Boricuas see as an AMAZING FIGHTER in Miguel Cotto....I see a fighter with a LOT OF FLAWS!!! I see Juanma as a "tad" bit more of a complete fighter. I just think its time to STEP-UP and MOVE-UP IN WEIGHT. So its obvious that we are not going to agree...But its cool. Talk later...Remember, I am in PR, covering the FIBA Americas Championships.
Since you're using Boxrec. Let's look at Sugar Shane, just a point of fact, boricua/black/white regardless a great fighter is a great fighter. Right? So let's hold Sugar shane under the same light you did for Juanma. At 23-0 Shane fought Michael Smith who was at the time This content is protected This content is protected
I see where your coming from...but B-Hop is a poor example. Juanma, Cotto, Shane and the other fighters I mentioned...Had a nice Pedigree of the Amatuers....B-Hop came from the Penitentary...THERE IS NO PROMOTION TEAM THERE BRO!!!!
Can we agree though that MOST boxers nowadays are really trying to keep the 0 in their loss column. More marketable, bigger fights and MORE MONEY. I mean these guys have to make a living. I do agree that it's time for Juanma to step-up but don't paint ALL Boricuas under that light. Have a good one enjoy the matches en mi Isla, bruh.
FYI-when you get a chance look at PW's Padded record as well: Fights 14,15,17,19,20 et. al too many to list.
I will agree to that...However, I do believe some fighters take a few more RISK with their 0 than other fighters. Yeah...I will definitely enjoy the games....I AM A HOOP FAN FIRST AND FOREMOST. I was pissed PR lost to Argentina today. Anyway...I am ordering room service now...Pionono y Flan...QUE RICO!!!
Paul Williams doesn't have a "real" amatuer pedigree either...only 20 amateur fights and has crappy promotion team!
I don't want to hear any of this take it easy stuff. Everyone rides Berto for having a belt and no one wants to see him take easy fights.
You people are getting too rough and hard on the guy. He doing fine. Slowly but surely. For a guy who has merely 26 fights as PRO it's already admirable to have these fighters in his resume: Ponce De Leon (31 -4) Cesar Figueroa (30-6-2) Sergio Medina (31-1) Gerry Penaloza (54-6-2) Olivier Lontchi (18-0)
