The first time that Manny beat Barrera, he had only fought Morales twice. The third fight came after the loss to pacquiao. Barrera was definatly in his prime against Pacquiao the first time around. he was at the right age, on a winning streak against quality opponents, confident, physically right and he went on a long winning streak afterwards.
Thats more like what I'm saying I reckon Barrera was maybe 90-95% of what he was , so still an exceptional fighter , what makes is such a huge win is that pac was probaly only 65-70% of the fighter he has become !
i woulda still like to see barrera to have fought him with a proper preperation i was just wondering though barrera had a rematch clause in the contract why was it that he couldnt get the rematch earlier in his career we know how badly he wanted it but why didnt it happen sooner?
ANYONE who had followed Barrera's career pre Morales knows two things about Barrera. 1. Both Morales and Barrera left something of themselves in the ring after their first fight. 2. The Kevin Kelley and the Johnny Tapia fights were a clear inidcator that Barrera was NOT the same Barrera he once was. That said, Barrera is skilled enough to beat B level guys even after his best, but he was not a Prime Barrera, I really do not understand why *******s cannot understand that. Example, Mosley and Hopkins best days were in the 90's and early 2000's, they are past their prime, but heir skill keeps them above most contenders and journey men.
What I dont understand is... I can get along with JM22 and divac and theyre the biggest JMM fanatic aka cheerleaders. But you... you just plain ******ed and still on your imagination land.
It's funny how I get called a hater for stating the obvious, and stating facts. You ******* bitches call me out all the time, and I own you guys, and then you guys call me a hater. Look what happened to Snell and his stupid post, the Bability tried to jump in for his ass but got pwned, samething with PhiLLa, you want me to bump that thread?? It's an undeniable fact that Morales was shot, Barrera was past his best, ODLH was shot, and that ODLH has a better legacy and resume and you guys call me a hater because I believe that. Dog, newsflash... I am not a Pac hater. I'll put it really simple for your little dumbasses: Let's say it was JMM who beat Barrera, then Morales, then chose to fight the weakest titlist in David Diaz at 135, then fought a shot ODLH and then Hatton, and he was getting rated in the top 20 for that, and called better than ODLH, Whitaker, Chavez, Duran for having those fights, you better bet your ass I would be schooling those people too. I'm a fan of boxing, not of ONE fighter like most *******s, so when a group of people come to these forums I been a member of since 2002, trolling, disrespecting other members, and legends, while showing your IGNORANCE, you better rest assured I'm taking of the belt and I'm going to start owning some ass.
We all know that he beat a Barrera on the decline. Only Pac fans say otherwise because they really can't hang on to any other prime, big name Dapidran has beaten.
