stick on the the essence of the thread and tell me ur not hating or discrediting Pac.

barrera was p4p within top 10 in 2003 and Pac annihilated him.

Just b/c a fighter is in their PHYSICAL primes as fighters doesn't mean they are at their over all best. Its a combination of being physically at their best or almost at their best coupled with how they've progressed in skills, epxerience and craft.

When MAB and EM had their wars they were still great fighters capable of fighting and beating opposition on their elite level. MAB, EM and JMM when PAC faught them were past their best physically but they were better overall fighters b/c they were not shot, past their best or fading.. They just were not as fast or their reflexes went down slightly.

People try to make excuses for these fighters b/c of the way that PAC beat them. But MAB got crushed by PAC and IMO he beat JMM. That's not a shot fighter un-capable of beating elite level guys. For you to say they were only able to beat "B level fighters or contenders" after their wars with one anther is completely false.

    Prime Barrera

    Kevin Kelly fight

How you can sit there with a straight face, and tell me that Barrera had not considerably slowed down is beyond me.

hell, even during the Tapia fight, a lot of the comenating was about how he had slowed down after the Morales fight.

Barrera has had over 70 fights, when he faced Pac for the first time he was 57 and 3 L.

When you have that record, you're pretty much passed it.

Just like when Arguello faced Pryor, he had more than 50 fights.

When I saw Barrera not fight back, I said, the man has lost more than a step. Barrera always beat Morales so claiming that he did that after losing to Pac has no worth as I thought Barrera won all 3 fights. Barrera did beat a one armed Juarez, but he never beat another elite fighter. PAc fans claim to fame is that Barrera knocked JMM down, and that Barrera even won THAT fight lol... Barrera gave PAc fits in their rematch also. 14 years in the ring, and Barrera was prime against Pac after fighting the Morales's, Hamed's, McKinney's, and Junior Jone's of the world lol... Don't make me laugh.

Looking at a young MAB prior to his evoultion from a typical mexican brawler to an intelligent skilled counter puncher doesn't do him or how he was able to reinvent himself justice. He needed to aquire new skill sets and change his style in order to have the kind of longevity and success his career embodies. Sure...everyone looses a step with age and ring wear over the years. But that doesn't mean that a young MAB could beat the evolved, older Marco. The MAB that faught Kelly couldn't have lasted with JMM that he faught just a couple of years ago.

Was Pac that good, or was Barrera that bad lol... No order, but it's funny how Barrera beat Morales, and then Morales beat PAc, and Barrera is considered prime against PAc, but Morales is considered past it against PAc lol...

i do think barrera was still in his prime when pacquiao dismantled him in '03. i think pacquiao beats barrera everytime if they fought 10 times.

Roy Jones was P4P when Tarver fought and beat him. It doesn not mean Roy Jones was at his best. Do you get it now?

How am I hating again? By stating my opinion? The damn thread asked a freaking question and I answered it honestly.

Why are you bitches havinig a fit, and get all emotional when you guys ask a question and get answer you don't want to hear.

If you don't want to hear answers like this then WHY ask the question to begin with??! :patsch

I don't just answer questions either, I ALWAYS back up what I say with evidence or explanation, it's more tha what you guys do.

    nallege,

no doubt! i will always think in his prime morales could have beaten pacquiao everytime as well. heck, even an out of prime and ringworn morales had enough left to beat a physically primed pacquiao. a super bantamweight morales KO's pacquiao, a featherweight morales easily defeats morales by UD.

    GcIII,

that's because i'm a true boxing fan and i call it how i see it. unlike *******s who have just one vision, TUNNEL VISION when it comes to boxing. all they wanna hear is their pacquiao is the best fighter of all time. sorry homie, i don't play those games. those games should be played in kindergarten.
