I'm a huge boxing fan, and that's what I know, so I'm testing the waters here. I live in Northern California. For boxers, it is one of the nation's better locations (nothing like Vegas though) due to the number of other boxers in the area to spar with, and everything that goes with it. I know MMA has blown up all across the nation, but in Northern Cali, I seem to run into professional MMA fighters left and right. The fighters here frequent the boxing gyms and have acquired pretty damn good hands too. The venues here fill up, as I'm sure they do elsewhere. Is Northern California somewhat of an MMA hotbed, or is it like this everywhere in the nation? What part of the country has the highest concentration of MMA fighters? How does Sacramento and the bay area rank with the rest of the nation (just this nation, not Brazil or Japan, etc.)? Hell, for that matter, any comparisons to other countries would be interesting too.

Yeah right, I'm American. I doubt I could survive two seconds anywhere that doesn't have an ample supply of fatty foods, bad healthcare, and cable and reality television. I wouldn't even last in Canada (too damn cold). I don't think I see myself in Mongolia anytime soon. Anyway, who are the dominant fighters from Mongolia? I would imagine they are lesser known here in the U.S., but most likely just as good, or better (no way in hell Mongolia has as many McDonald's as we do).

    Vegas and Miami/Southern Florida.

With Vegas you have a ton of gyms where fighters mix and match and have the most available sparring partners.

In Miami it's almost all American Top Team, but there is a ton of talent located there; when they get the pro team training together there is a room just full of top notch level BJJ blackbelts.

I say Florida overall is the best. We got our sports-**** together. Anything from MMA to NFL :D.
A lot of schools here. With this MMA-boom people are opening schools left and right. I cross 3 MMA schools on a 20 minute drive to my work and that's just orlando.

Coconut Creek and Miami area(Marcelo used to teach there as I recall) is top notch stuff. Mercelo Garcia now teaches BJJ at Coconut Creek ATT and that's one of the best you can get anywhere in US.
