I guess the perception is that it is Floyd who wants to fight Marquez, rather than it's Marquez seeking out Floyd. With the other fights you mentioned, it was more of Floyd moving up (Oscar), or Floyd giving someone moving up (such as Hatton) an opportunity. LIke there's no particular reason for Marquez to be the opponent. Yes, he's a good fighter, but it's not what people were expecting for Floyd's comeback.

Personally, I think this is a fine match up as a tune up for Floyd. I also think that Floyd holds all the advantages here, and a Marquez win is very unlikely. Does that make it a mismatch. Yes and no. Yes because the odds are stacked against JMM, but no because let's face it, Floyd would be a favorite against just about anyone in his weight range.

On paper, it's clearly a mismatch fight... Floyd almost has all the advantages... Floyd advantages in the physical tangible aspects is huge when lumped all together... JMM is smaller, older, slower, weaker and lesser skilled compared to Floyd... Floyd is installed as the solid 4 to 1 heavy favorite to trash JMM...

I predict the actual fight will show that it's really a mismatch fight...;)

Many are saying that Marquez is small because he has never fought anywhere near 140 and now he is fighting at 140+. JMM is still considered the smaller fight because he is moving up and (correct me if I'm wrong) his highest weight (after hydration) before the fight is 141 and Mayweather's highest weight was 150. There's a 9 lbs difference between them. Just because their height is similiar doesn't mean that their weight similiar.

    This content is protected

Roach said that Pac had a good chance because Hoya was old and shot and coud not pull the trigger any more..... but you.... you just predicted it based on Pacs speed???????

    Amazing isn't it???????
