I keep bringing up the fact that Hopkins failed to win a decision over JT twice, and winky failed as well, but these dimwits just get stuck on stupid and act like they don't understand the signifigance of that.

I was about to comment on that. I've said many times on the list, they broadcast on TV asking people NOT to shake Kelly's hand after the fight because it was injured and they thought it might be broken. Just because he didn't KO JT a second time he was "lack luster"? How many people out boxed JT before Kelly? :patsch I've watched the fight many times because I think it is one of Kelly's better performances and when I want to see how he will do against a boxer, that is the fight I use to measure his boxing ability. Even with the ignore list this forum gets harder and harder to read.

The answer is ZERO! And JT has one hell of a resume, to say the least.:good

Before the previous fight, JT had not only never been KO'd before either, much less (as far as I know) even ever knocked down.

I can see your point on the "hype" prior to his fighting Mr. Hopkins, but it was not nearly at that level before the 2nd Taylor fight. To MOST fans all they knew was he'd beaten Miranda and Taylor the first time.

I guess compared to the ebb and flow, awesome fight that was Pav vs. Taylor 1, it was a little less exciting, but damn if it was lack luster.

PS..I'm one of the last people that is oblivious to much anything that has happened with Pav since about 2005.

ALSO...Lack luster is an opinion, and you're entitled to it, I guess.

The blueprint has been made to UD/dominate Kelly Pavlik....you are a FOOL to think Paul Williams isnt going follow that plan(that how how he boxes)...as long as he dosnt let KP load up on shot and stays of the ropes he will cruise like carnival to a UD

Paul Williams is SEVERAL classes below Hopkins, and does not fight anything like BHop. PW will not weight 180+ on fight night, nor can he hit like a top LHW. Paul Williams is a very good fighter, but he is going to get knocked out. If Williams tries to fight KP like his trainer says he will, this won't last 5 rounds. If Peterson's talk is a smokescreen to cover a much smarter fight plan, PWilly MIGHT be the first middleweight to answer the bell for round 10.

As long as KP has a glove in his face he cant load up and hit PW with power shots....PW is going to throw 100+ per, and that makes up for the BHOP lack of power...JT has stamina issues and A.D.D. or he couldve pulled out a W in at least one of those fights

Well I will give you that after Pav beat Taylor the first time, there were a slew of "new fans", meaning not REAL FANS OF BOXING, but fans of only Pavlik. And yeah, they would start some threads and make some statements that embarrassed a lot of us REAL BOXING fans that Pavlik just happens to be our favorite.

Boo, Hermit, and myself used to try to "police" these cats ourselves, honestly. Same thing is true for REAL FANS of most fighters I guess, Hatton is a prime example. His REAL FANS are easy to spot from the hundreds of others that showed up pre-Mayweather making absurd statements AND the false ones disappear quickly too.

You know how it goes brother..:yep
