I haven't seen the fight. Nobody in PR was expecting great thing from Carita Lopez. We were just hopeful. The PI is good. But lets make things clear, he just beat a 37 y/o boxer who was average at his best. Please don't add him to your P4P list yet.

Are you the PR commentator who gave 118-110 for Lopez?

Again, 37 y/o who was average when he was like 30y/o. I am Puerto Rican, but I knew better. You always pray for your guy, but my money was with the PI. I am not surprised. Watch out!!! Real fighters ahead.

Yeah Lopez wasn't much more than average. HOWEVER if you look at what Sosnona did,it's impressive regardless. Always nice to have more top prospects in boxing.

I dont buy that one bit, you guys are throwing your fighter under the bus big time. The smart money was with Lopez prior to the fight due to much more experience, lack of experience on Sonsona's part, moving up in weight too and a very strong chin on Lopez. It looked almost impossible to think Sonsona would knock out an iron chinned fighter and laughable for a 19 year old kid to win a decision against a longtime seasonal veteran champion.

Not many in PI were giving Sonsona a chance let alone a diehard PR to say his money was on the PI.

Ok, I see your point. But you have to understand, Carita is 37y/o. I never thought the kid was going to win a desicion, I thought the kid was going to knock him out. I take my hat off to Carita for being able to hang at that weight. But I will not be impressed with the PI until he beat some real strong young fighter.
