i'm a pro... i'm a bit ashamed though cause most of my fans are blind as ****, and only follow my career...which is a clear disrespect to other fans that have been watching boxing for decades....my fans are so ******ed that i feel like retiring and running for president of my country....dont get me wrong, i mean i'm great and all but i can do without my fans......i am manny pacquiao
i had some amatuer outings - a lifetime ago now randy turpins brother trained us back then...jackie turpin, he ran the amatuer boxing club in leamington england..
first went to the gym when i was 8 but it closed down, then i boxed with kids in the hood throughout my childhood. Finally got back to a gym when i was 15 but that fizzed. Then started again at 20 and had 4 fights did good, but partied too much,as adult just off and on trained.
wore gloves since I was a kid, but never really went in to amateurs/pro. I just boxed with friends, as workout and for fun. Basic boxing actually..
I don't have any lack of respect for a fan who does not box or workout in a gym though. Anyone who thinks about boxing enough to consistently interact with people on the subject is aces in my book. Being involved with boxing just makes it more of a no-brainer. Loving this game without direct involvement is highly commendable to me, and shows true dedication. I never dog a fan who doesn't box. Never will.
