He looks good man, but its no good if he's slower. Speed is everything in boxing, and if Marquez has lost his, he's ****ed
yep, but timing kills speed... if he can time PBF it will be closer than many expect. I still expect this to be an Easy UD for Mayweather or even a win by TKO ... depending on how aggressive Mayweather fighters.
I think if he gets PBF's timing down then its definately a JMM win. He already has decent speed and timing does kill speed. Thats one of the ways JMM was able to have such close fights with Pac. Another thing is PAc is very unpredictable so its harder to time him. I have been thinking lately that PBF is not as unpredictable as Pac so maybe timing him might be easier. Although PBF is a more complete fighter....
No doubt JMM needs that speed and he should be fast considering hes a naturally smaller fighter. People often overlook the fact that marquez was matching manny in the exchanges in both their fights with speed. Hell marquez even won some of the exchanges at got pacquiaos respect at the same time.
Thats not good news for him. He need to be in the ring at 144/5 to mayweathers 150/5. Interesting thing i heard on a mayweather interview was that he said 'people think i look bigger and stronger after my layoff'. What if he actually comes in of fight night at around 160?
Like someone else said, doubt if Floyd has ever weighed 160 at any point in his life. Highly unlikely he decides to do something stupid and come in at 160. He weighed in at 150 for the De La Hoya fight!!!
This content is protected Actually you're wrong......Hatton was lunging, actually leaping in with a left hook.....which brought him directly and forcefully into Mayweather's hook....... ......the picture you depicted actually has Marquez throwing a right hand in the direction of the sparring partner's body......the sparring partner has his left hand extended as if he's punching Marquez with it.....but in actuality, because Marquez threw a right hand, his momentum actually carries him away from and difuses some of the sting from the left hook if it were to land. Again, with Hatton, the left hook he threw carried him full force right into Mayweather's left hook. One thing that JMM does'nt do is leap in with shots, so I would'nt worry about it at all.
Floyd usually only put on around 2 pounds after the weigh in (if i remember correctly he actually lost a pound once when it come to fight night), so i doubt he will ballon up to 160. Come fight night the weight difference will not be much and judging by these pics neither will the size difference.

Wow, while hearing Marquez speak......he is really a confident character. Kind of reminds me of Evander Holyfield's demeanor before his first fight with Tyson.......knowing full well the difficult task at hand, but confident in their abilities to get the job done........ In the interview, Marquez mentioned that everyone knows even the Filipino's, that Pacquiao does'nt want to fight him....... When Nacho spoke, he said......"I've told JMM, enough of it. If Pacquiao want to fight him, fine....if he does'nt thats fine too.......just dont beg them for a fight." Nacho is very concious that Mayweather is a very dangerous on the counter and said that Mayweather can do great damage there...... .....its nice to know that the Marquez team is'nt going about their busniness believing that Mayweather does'nt have the punching power to hurt them.....to the contrary, they realize fully the greatness in Mayweather iand are preparing for such. Thanks my friend for those video spots, great stuff!:good
