this is no hunky dory fight for Dunne

 

If Cordoba's team were to offer Dunne upwards of 200,000 euro (the amount Peters paid to get Cordoba to put his belt on the line) maybe Dunne would give him a rematch :yep

 

How long did it take you to come up with that one? We all know it's going to be a tough fight for Dunne.

 

Munroe has yet to have a proper test yet. I would love to see Munroe fight Michael Hunter by now at least he fought for a World title but so far Munroes real test local has not happened yet. I would fancy Hunter to beat Munroe if they ever got it on.

 

unfortunately dunne's holiday is over imo, i know come fight time ill be rooting for him but this thai is going to be too strong , too tough and too relentless for dunne to handle, as a dub im obviously going to want to see dunne win but he is there to be hit at times and if he lets the thai hit him as much as cordoba did he will be stopped, even if dunne can pulll off another cordoba style performance the thai is going to have the power and style to finish dunne off when cordoba couldnt, cordoba compared to the thai was not a huge puncher and im worried about dunnes punch resistance which i belive is partly due to how he cuts weight

 

I'm not taking Poonsawat lightly but if he was such a monster puncher why couldn't he put Cordoba down even once in their fight? Cordoba had been put down 6 times before in other fights but despite having him on the ropes for good spells Poonsawat never looked liked stopping Cordoba. You have to take into consideration that Dunne was taking the fight to Cordoba cos he knew he could hurt him if he put the pressure on and so was easier to hit. Against Poonsawat Dunne will box from the outside and jab the 5ft 3inch Thai's head off everytime he comes in close...that's what I'm counting on anyway. Don't write him off just yet Southpaw :good

 

Hunter's done, Booth will take care of him handily enough.
The real test which will come for Munroe soon enough will be against Maludrottu.

I think Munroe has just enough to get past the Italian, but it's the level slightly above that(fringe World level) where he would be badly shown up.
Munroe shouldn't even be talked about as fighting for World titles until/unless he beats Maludrottu though.

Great point Padraig a chara! If he was such a huge puncher why didnt he KO Cordoba or Somsak - dont get me wrong, he is a bull an relentless and a strong wicked hookmonster.

Of course Poonsawat could finish it within a round but the longer it goes on the more I'd favour Dunne.

 

poonswat record looks good 38-1 but when you look into it the people he has faced thry are really at no high standard most are european level or below. it will still be a close fight as poonswat has a lot of power and throws combinations very well.

 

Somsak Sithchatchawal? Wladimir Sidorenko? Leo Gamez? Ricardo Cordoba? Moises Castro? Simon Ramoni?

In truth he has probably fought better fighters then Dunne!

 

I didnt realise this Thai lad fought Cordoba , and didnt knock him down. That is good news for Dunne. That said it looks like this lad will not run out of energy like Cordoba did in the last few rounds. Which is where Dunne won the fight. He was well down on the judges cards up to that point. I love Dunnes heart and hope he wins but just have my doubts in this fight. Then again I never thought he would beat Cordoba.

yes they are all good names but in recent fights the class in opponents has been dropping. i understand and agree that you say that he has fought better than Dunne but recently his opponents havnt been in the same class as Dunne. IMO.
