So Floyd's undefeated! Pfft! Since when have wins and losses counted in boxing? If Floyd was a TRUE champion, he'd have more wins than fights, right?

Great fighter, no doubt. I just wish he would fight the best at 147.

Not overrated at all. You have his nuthuggers overrate him and his haters underrate him. Most neutral unbiased fans like me know where he stands: a boxer with great offensive and defensive skills that retired too soon and left too many worthy opponents without the opportunity to further test his legacy.

 

excellent fighter but I agree that he's overrated. Basically he's very good but not as good as people think imo. If someone keeps saying that they're the best over and over people start buying into it and lose track of the performances in the ring.

 

I would pick Cotto and Paul Williams to beat him. Guys like Chavez and Duran would have killed this dude.

 

How can a p4p #1 be underrated?

Its not the level of competition that he lacks because his competition is top notch, its that he doesnt fight the fights that people want him to see in. We wanted to see him fight Cotto, he fought DLH, we wanted to see him fight Mosley, he fought Hatton, we would like to see him fight Williams but its not going to happen. Same case was with RJJ.

 

He is underrated. Marquez called him out so your a ****in **** and he moved up 5 different weight classes to win titles so shut your ****in mouth and stop bullshittin you ****, although calling you a **** is an insult to ****s all around the world.:finger

Thats exactly how I feel about Mayweather. Yes, he is very good, but not as good as he's sold himself to be and as good as the general public and media have bought it in to it. IMO it makes no difference in terms of how good you are whether you were raised by bums or have a family fighting backround. A lot of people tend to generalize and say "oh he came from a fighting family so he must be good". They need to judge his performances, resume, accomplishments, etc. It simply doesn't live up to the hype. But he's done good for himself, he's managed to sell himself well and make some good paydays for what he's actually done.

 

Not a fan and don't care much for the dude.

He's the best out there now (assuming no degradation from layoff).

And by a wide margin.


However, Pac has improved substantially in each of his last few fights. If this continues, he could pass Floyd.
