Super 6 - First round ?

I know nothing about him but some of the people that I have heard that know boxing say not to under estimate his chances in the tourney.

 

kessler is so overrated on ESB its pathetic.....in the last 2 years he got schooled by joe c and fought 2 unproven guys who fought **** competition in sartisan and haussler. and somehow both of those fights were for the WBA 168 strap. but then again...its the WBA......
Ward is gonna give him a boxing lesson......

 

First, stop saying Kessler is overrated on ESB when they are so many people like you saying he's overrated. That's pathetic.

Sartison and Haussler are more than probably better boxers than Edison Miranda, Ward's best win. We just don't know how good is Ward, he never faced a single top ten. He seems very talented though. It's just that at a certain level, if you're not able to get respect from your opponent, they'll walk on you. That could happen to Ward in the tournament.

 

I agree with Abraham being way overrated in this tourney. We've yet to see what he can do at this weight, and truthfully, he hasn't fought the highest level of competition in his last two fights. Taylor is by far the toughest opponent he's ever fought.

Agreed. Abraham is not that big. Beating Miranda, means you are pretty good though.

 

Kessler is not overrated. And he didnt get schooled by JC.

Kessler has won almost every round he's ever been in. He has only lost rounds to JC AND mundine. kessler is a ****in boxing phenomenon. Watch his fights!

Ward is extremely talented but I just dont see him outboxing KESSLER from the outside. Aint gonna happen dude.

 

Calzaghe ruined Kessler IMO I had Kessler winning Four Rounds in that fight.

I say Kessler is favourite for the tourney and I am interested in seeing how good Abraham is up a weight class

 

I agree that kessler is a good fighter and I won't be suprised if he wins it (nobody else should be either), But Mirranda would kill sartison and haussler. Miranda, green, bika would all kill Haussler and Sartison in just as brutal fashion as Kessler did. Those 2 fights from kessler mean nothing. He's solid in most aspects and if he can keep from backing straight up, he will be tough for anyone to beat. It takes a special fighter to beat someone as solid as kessler and I'm very interested to see if any are in the tourney.

Dirrell dec 12 Froch

Taylor is the sleeper in this tournament ... I think that Kessler is getting too much credit for losing to Calzaghe (when he was almost KO'd by Calzaghe if it weren't for that bull**** ref) He has never fought someone like Dirrell or Taylor ... who both have the height and reach ... boxing ability and athleticism ...

Ward is going to get slept on hard and will surprise someone ... and he should be favored to win ... he hasn't lost a fight in about 10 yrs ....

Forget all these predictions ... something is going to happen once these "new" guys win a championship.

 

Haussler would have no chance at all against Miranda. Haussler is an absolutely nobody - hey I guess that I even could beat him!
But Sartison would most definetly outbox and outclass Miranda. And thats a fact. Sartison is indeed underrated and would be a tough fight for most top ten SMW's.

 

your post here shows he's underrated, lossing to someone like Joe C isn't a shame, Hopkins did it too and then beat pavlik so there is no shame in losing to Joe C. Plus it wasn't a total domination, Kessler gave Joe a decent fight and thats why he's rated high as he is, plus he's fought in the harder european circuit vs the americans so his comp has been pretty good.

 

dirrell is going to beat froch....and win the whole thing

 

those are my picks but i see one or two being KAYOS...the best part of the tourney though is the unknown...kessler's best win is a loss to calzghe, while ward just recently stepped up to beat a beaten down miranda...froch beat a gassed taylor and had a good win vs pascal but dirrell has fought **** and DOMINATED so I have this feeling he is more dangerous than taylor and will be too def sound for Froch....and i am just not sold on AA....taylor has been in with BHOPx2, KPx2, winky, and froch and came out dead even and won everything else he has been in such as lacy, spinks, ouma, edouard....who the **** has AA fought and he is coming up in weight....all the fights should be great
