What would be the equivalent fight at middleweight for Mayweather?

    What a strange thread.

Mayweather has dominated most opponents hence he has never had to show "balls" as you describe it.

Are you referring to Marquez stepping up in weight? If you are, you have to remember the smaller difference in weight classes at the lower weights.

Therefore Mayweather stepping up to face ODLH without the weight restrictions Manny enforced he a display of "balls".

Mayweather has never faced an opponent where he was at such a disadvantage like Marquez is in this fight. Marquez is facing someone two divisions higher who is bigger, stronger, faster, younger, and has MUCH less mileage then he has. Marquez has some serious balls.

Floyd's never been matched with anyone who poses a serious threat since he was 135 pounds.

is it PBF's fault that he is so skilled...he is a smaller ww...JMM is the LW king...if it were hatton he was fighting JMM would win...JMM has balls yes but he is fighting floyd not cuz of balls but for cash...he knows he has nothing to lose...floyd went up to fight odlh when the ring was bigger with no catchweight weighing 13 lbs less than him...granted ODLH is no floyd but floyd is not going to decapittate him...balls would be if JMM fought a big ww for less money...and that would be stupid

the bigger question is how is it balls to do what u have been born to do for the most money u will ever make when u have NOTHING to lose and the world to gain..if he loses he goes back and fights all the lw's and 140 lbers...if he wins he is a legend...how is that balls?....balls is guys like micky ward ang gatti fighting their hearts out just cuz they would be embarrassed not to give the crowd what they want not JMM fighting a superior fighter at a catch weight

JMM is the LW king? Beating Casamayor (who lost to Santa Cruz before) and Diaz (who got whupped by Campbell) makes him the king in 2 fights? :patsch

This is the problem with idiots like you. Matchmaking doesn't make you the king, beating the rest of the top contenders makes you the king. You probably thought Floyd beating Baldomir made HIM the king of 147.

mayweather does not walk around at 160 so it would never happen...JMM is 135 and walks at 150-155...it is not as big as the weight difference between him and ODLH.....WHYYYYYYYYY the **** did ODLH have to fight at 154 and weigh 165 then fight pac at 147 and weigh 147 the night of the fight????
middleweights like AA and KP walk at 175-180...floyd and marquez walk around the same weight...just two people fighting one is better...u will see who it is the 19th

JMM is the number 1 LW in the world by ko'ing casamayor and diaz...I am fairly sure everyone agrees since he is #2 p4p...why are u discrediting the guy...he is a great fighter...matchmaking lol...cas is the guy who ko'd katsidis and diaz was a damn good fighter at the time they fought and a champion himself...they were #1 and #2 lw's

Because know-it-all punks like you are annoying. Sorry for the brutal truth. Maybe you need it. And P4P doesn't mean ****. It's MYTHICAL.

Am I not discredit JMM. He's one of my favorite fighters, But I am not blind to seeing the circumstances of his fights at 135.

I guess you completely missed what the TS is saying. WHy don't you just answer it? When has Floyd faced an opponent who had so many advantages over him as he does Marquez?

Floyd showed balls in the JLC fight, the first one, and nobody even noticed because all anybody ever says is 'Castillo was robbed'. He fought on for 12 rounds to the best of his ability with a torn rotator cuff, the same injury Vitali Klitschko retired with against Chris Byrd with 3 rounds left and plenty of rounds in the bag.
