i heard it was on sky sports not box office which i find hard to believe that a fight like this wouldn't be on box office but theres no 24/7 yet and the fight is not in the sky sports magazine for september 19th so what channel will it be on and will there be a 24/7 program in the uk

It is on Sky Sports 1. Don't know about 24/7 though.

    It'll be on SS1.

The reason they aren't showing 24/7 is because they dont want to spend money buying it in order to showcase the fight when they stand to make next to nothing without PPv'ing it

There's a full page feature on it in Sky Sports magazine, and says at the bottom that they're showing it,so I wouldn't worry.

What's so hard to believe about it not being on PPV? Mayweather vs Oscar wasn't PPV.

because khan's recent fights have been box office and hattons i just thought mayweather and marquez would be rated higher by the sky sports people

Fights don't get on PPV based on how highly the tv channel rate them. They get there based on how many they think they can sell.

The quality of the fight is irrelevent, its about how many people would be willing to pay £15 to say up to 3am to watch 2 foreigners fight.

Not many. A few thousand boxing nuts maybe?

i think its not sbo since the injury because its going up against a ufc that night on espn and i think khans sbo numbers were so poor they decided against another similar figure

Hatton and Khan are English and are household names. The general public will pay to watch and support them (or in the case of a few idiotic haters, to cheer on the other guy). Marquez is fairly well unknown over here and Mayweather only for his fight with Hatton. The fight simply wouldn't sell. PPV shows in general are having a hard time at the moment.

Well, plenty of people shell out plenty of money every month for a 'sports' channel

Sky should think of it this way a bit more

Trotter we all know this mate :good but sky are a profit making company and it may not be worth their while paying for a program which is promoting a programme which may not get that man viewers. Lets face it, apart from us nuts on here who else will be staying up for it ???
