Princess, George Foreman has said on many occassions that no one ever hit himm harder than Ron Lyle, ever. Not Sonny Liston, not Joe Frazier, not Gerry Cooney, not Tommy Morrison, no one. Are you now going to say you know better than George about how hard Ron hit ?

What top 10 contender did ron lyle ever knockout with one right hand? Rocky knocked Jersey joe Walcott and Rex layne out cold with 1 right hand, and toppled Joe Louis through the ropes. Lyle never demonstrated this kind of power against rated opposition.

It depends whether the fight is fought in Colour or Black and White
Many observers add 20% onto a boxers skill if he fights in Black and White

Personally, I add 25% for black and white...and 50% if the film has that brownish tinge to it. :good

I would imagine he would say that seeing how he got dropped. Lyle displayed his power in the Foreman bought big. Foreman also said he was scarred of Norton on the Champ dinner in 88? Do you believe him there? If there was ever a fighter whose opinion should take with a grain of salt it was Big George. And I'm a Foreman fan. Ali said that Frazier "Hit harder than Foreman." Do I really think I'm going to believe that... no. But Ali lost to Frazier.

He Grant, what world class fighter did Lyle knock out? Shavers? Buster Mathis?

You are all wrong about how skill is determined.......... Skills are rated insanely incredible when you hear and find out the results by way of the radio and a newspaper reporters point of view......... Them are the only real elements that you can trust..........

If Foreman was KO'd by Ali, and floored by Jimmy Young (not exactly 2 power-punchers), what makes anyone think he can stand up to Marciano?

Marciano would bury himself on Foreman's chest and hit with uppercuts and hooks. Foreman would push him away, and would be penalized on the scorecards. Marciano would just move back on the inside, dodging Foreman's slow punches: if Jimmy Young could dodge Foreman for 12 rounds, so could Marciano.

It's ridiculous how overrated George Foreman is. Just because he beat two guys who had beaten Muhammad ali, he is seen as a demi-god. That whole era is overrated, just because Ali was such a fun character. Marciano's wins over a prime Ezzard Charles are almost worth more than Foreman's entire resume.

CHRIST SAKE!!!! Foreman fell from heat exhaustion after multiple rds of give and take punishment......... Foreman was NOT dropped from power-punches by either Ali or Young............ The only time Foreman was dropped or seriously wobbled by a power-punch was when he fought Ronald Lyle in '76, Carlos Hernandez in '88 and Gerald Cooney in 1990.......... Sure, Foreman has been hit other times and teeter-tottered a bit, but nothing too seriously.......

SQ: You really milk the milage on Rocky's right hand. Michael Nunn knocked out Sumbu Kalamby with one shot. Was he an all time KO king? What 220 pound championship caliber fighter did Rocky ever fight let alone knock out ? SQ a knockout is not the only gage of how hard a fighter hits. If that were the case Shavers would have been undefeated. If you honestly think Marciano hit harder than guys like Lyle, Foreman, Frazier, Tua and Tyson I think you are nuts. I'll respect it but strongly disagree. Rocky, a small cruiserweight, made his bones against cruiserweights, light heavyweights and a long past his best Louis. These are facts. Give the man the respect he is due and enough with the romance, please.

Princess: So now you know better than George Foreman ? Was Foreman a coward as well ?

You're an idiot. Yes, I'm bright enough to know to not take what George has said as factual. Unless you believe he was scared of Norton? Was Foreman a coward?

I bet if I make a poll more people would believe Marciano hit harder than Frazier. I think more people here would suggest Dempsey hit harder too especially with the film of that great Sharkey 1 punch KO. :rofl

What great world class fighter did Lyle KO?

Worst stylistic match-up for Rocky, Foreman in 2 rds.
