I hope he represents boxing well. Having watched some MMA i think alot of these guys who are not the absolute elite MMA fighters (GSP, Machida, etc) could be cannon fodder for top boxers.
I agree for the most part.. MMA could defo make a nice retirement home for some top former boxing champ's. (Just teach them a headlock or 2...lol) Before the MMA's purists try & jump on me, I also watch follow & respect the MMA style, just calling it like I see it. (MOST are pretty weak with the hands)
That was funny. I googled part of what you posted, and found a link to Zeferino Jackson's article. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/118099-ricardo-mayorgas-last-stand I also found this article, where Freddie Roach accuses Jackson of "crazy allegations." http://philboxing.com/news/story-10416.html
I guess boxing doesn't pay enough to support his smoking habits.. http://graneyandthepig.wordpress.co...ile-drinking-tequila-training-regimen-to-mma/
I think mayorga would knock alot guys out even the best ,his style being crazy the way it is i think he would do better than a lot of other boxers his explosiveness would be a big threat.Although hed have do develop some kind of defense against takedowns eventually or else hed probably lose as much as he won.Mercer has had mixed results, and i think mayorgawould do better than him.
No way Mayorga would succeed at MMA. He's as sloppy a puncher as a lot of those guys without the ground game.
