    Actually he didn't. In fact he proved his point when Floyd showed more fire during an interview critiquing his performance than the fight itself.

    ok ive changed my mind after reading thiz POST

    however

    i resevere the right to turn on merchant again in the future and begin hating him intensely and posting about it any dam time i please

    i like larry although he is getting on a bit

    no point getting rid of him though if you're gonna replace him with tha kellermans of this world

    I've always wondered why burt sugar was never given a merchant style role, dude farts more boxing knowledge and analysis

    I enjoy watching Merchant. I don't see how ANYONE could show such hatred toward someone who has been involved with boxing for so long. Towards Don King, I would understand. Larry Merchant, nope.

    He's a tad slow because he's old but Merchant brings a lot of character and history to the HBO Shows. Too many young turks with their rapid-fire rap and general inexperience would get boring real quick. Old farts like Merchant have seen it all and have analyzed fighters longer than most of us have been alive. They bring a unique perspective and an old-school charm to the broadcasts. Besides, old people don't give a ****; they know they'll die soon so they just call it the way they see it. No spin.
