    Larry Holmes vs Gerry Cooney

    Holmes, was disrespected numerous times and he was the champion. From what I remember from reading Holmes biography, LH in the ring was introduced before Cooney the challenger.

    Also Cooney had a phone line in his dressing room, and he received a call from the President wishing him luck.

    Yep, all great choices - Leonard vs Duran first came to mind when I seen the thread.

    Clay vs Liston :deal

    Someone mentioned Benn vs Eubank as well - very good choice :yep
