Ruiz will probably look against whoever he fights against in the 8 rounded, probably a journeyman type opponent.

Hopefully, Ruiz gets KO'ed and he retires. He's a cool guy, nice guy, but he is boring. May'be at the very least it won't be on TV just the people who are in attendance will have to sit through that boring hugfest.

I see the double standard. Vlad has fantastic knockout ratio and Vitali even better. He gets knockouts and TKO's almost all the time.

Why the ****'s he only fighting an 8 rounder? Surely a supposed world title contender should be fighting at least 10.

Bearded warrior won’t even need full 8 rounds so it realy doesn’t matter.

8 rounds is kind of beneath him if he wants to be taken as a serious top guy. Calling out Arreola, then doing an 8-rounder a few months later? John...Come on.

It sounds like a fight for the sake of it.

As in, he hasn't fought for over a year now. Not only is that ring rust to shake off, but he doesn't want to risk losing his ranking by inactivity or someone else doing better. A win, any win at all, keeps him there.

So he'll just fight any have-gloves-will-travel guy available.

Ruiz has had his clammy hands near that belt for ten years now.

Do you really believe this? I know you're a Klitschko fan but please think logically about this.

Audley or Danny Williams and it'd make it slightly interesting for me.

Nice to hear he's fighting someone closer to his level of ability - maybe he won't have to cheat to "win" this time.:yep
