    wow people hating a guy who asks the tough questions and for telling it like it is?

    Merchant is an equal opportunity hater, if you dont perform for the fans, he's calling you out.

    Floyd/Baldomir.. it was raining booos..why? its was a ****in snoozefest..thats the truth..and Merchant tells Floyd why the fans are booing and you idiots hate someone for that?:patsch

    Merchant is looking ridiculously old at some fights but in saying that I have absolutely no problem with his presentation style or the questions he asks.

    Merchant adds class and respectability to the broadcast no matter if he sometimes sounds old and out of touch.

    I can't think of a single other commentator in any sport who asks such blunt and honest questions. I'll be really sad to see him go.

    2 of the biggest assholes in boxing, brought together for our 'entertainment.'
    'Money' Mayweather talking up his fight after he's stunk out the joint!(again.)
    And Larry 'I've got Alzheimers, what am I doing standing here next to this semi-naked black boy?' Merchant asking his usual buffoon-like questions.
    The sooner this pair of clowns retire, the better for boxing.:lol:

    i laugh every time i see this. when larry starts to mention entertainment and the gladiator outfit, floyds face lights up thinking larry is going to give him props. the look of betrayal on floyd face when larry mentions the boos and people leaving is hilarious.

    Merchant was never my favorite. Al Bernstein, for example, was always light-years better. But since HBO chose to replace Merchant with that unqualified clown Max Kellerman, Merchant looks much better in contrast. Like one journalist said, replacing Merchant with Kellerman is like replacing Picasso with the guy who does Elvis paintings outside Graceland!
