Didnt Cotto last 10 rounds before he took a knee against Margarito?

Also Billy Collins only had 15 fights

Billy Collins lasted 10 rounds against a man who had no padding in his gloves, had plaster of paris on his handwraps, AND had been given a performance-enhancing liquid by trainer Panama Lewis. And he never went down. That does not even remotely compare to Cotto-Margarito.

His trainer took out all the horsehair padding in the knuckle areas of the gloves and completely dipped the handwraps in plaster of paris so it was literally like a cast. Margarito only had tiny little inserts in his knuckle pads so the two are not comparable. If Margo had what Resto had Cotto would have down and out in 2-3 rounds max.

Margarito still has an awesome chin i think.
People underestimate it since his KO loss. They forget he was taking repetitive flush shots from the hardest puncher at WW. Those right hands Mosley was landing were brutal. They hurt me watching him land them over and over.

Matthew Franklin took some shocking beatings, but often came back. From big-punching Light-Heavys as well, not your Fosters or Spinks-type punchers, but Yaqui Lopez, Marvin Johnson, John Conteh and Dwight Braxton were all hard punchers and hit him with a lot of leather.

Margarito has a great chin, he just took a prolonged beating.

I think it's hard to compare the chins like that of Margarito or Brewster with others great chins like Hagler and Toney, guys who are much better defensively than Margarito and Lamon and don't eat shot after shot to the head.
