True statements. But everyone forgets how Leonard manipulated the system like no other. He demanded and got a Duran rematch after only 5 months knowing that Duran would still be partying after the victory, refused to give Tommy Hearns an immediate rematch after demanding and getting an immediate one from Duran, challenged a shot Marvin Hagler while knowing Marvin was shot even though he had been publically toying with the idea of fighting Marvin for at least 5 prior years and teasing his adoring public and Marvin all along, and got a "shot" at both the newly formed supermiddleweight as well as the lightheavyweight title against mediocrity Donny Lalonde even though he had never fought at either weight.Leonard was definitely a great fighter, but he was just as good as a conman.

You completely miss the point. Roy was already faded when those fights occured. The fact that he went up and won a heavyweight title and beat a prime Tarver while not at his best should be celebrated.

You seem to be under this moronic assumption that Roy Jones is still at peak abilities and that the only reason he is at his state now because he became gun shy and didnt have it mentally anymore. Hand speed is close, but anyone with two eyes can see his stamina and leg strength is gone.

    Good points made here.

Faded my ass... You're trying to blame him losing those fights on account of being "faded?"

Your whole post is moronic. Truly.

Are you seriously trying to argue Roy was the same fighter at 35 after dropping 20 pounds of muscle? Even the BIGGEST of Roy haters don't normally do that. Go back to taking your pills. :patsch

Yeah because Roy Jones throughout his career has sat on the ropes and let guys wail on him. There is nothing wrong with his stamina or ability to avoid punches with his superior movement.

    Clown.

You're the guy who's mentally challenged and has serious difficulties with reading comprehension, not to mention logic.

What part of ROY WAS PAST PRIME AT 35 are you having difficulty with?
