Thought I'd let anyone know who's interested. I haven't seen it yet. I bought the Donaire PPV the night it was on so I'll check it out. :rasta
I watch it on ppv and Roy was close to look like himself. I said close cause in the Lacy fight he was fighting off the ropes too many times in which in his prime Roy never fought off the ropes many times. And lets not get carry away cause even though Roy was close to himself, he still fought a shot decline Lacy.
The snark in me wants to say "Great performance against a guy who needed a gift decision against an absolute nobody in his last fight"...but the fan in me just wants to enjoy an outstanding performance. The conflicts of a boxing fan.
Watching it now. " This is a good old WHOOPIN! " I always get a kick every time i hear the announcer say that
Watched it on youtube the other day! Man Lacy is terrible. He throws a few wide punches, then buries his head in his opponents shoulder like he needs a rest. Horrible to watch.
Can someone please explain to me the excitement this fight seems to generate amongst certain posters on here when the same posters write off Calzaghe's win over Lacy as being overrated?
Because everyone wants to see RJJ back to his old ways. Watching Calzaghe killing Lacy in a borefest isnt entertaining plain and simple.
