These type of fights are what's wrong with boxing, I mean he just had a damn tune-up, before that he fought a past prime Penalosa, now another tune up??

This fight seems like a waste of time to me. However, JuanMa says he wants to fight Caballero in January and Arum says he wants to match JuanMa with Gamboa sometime in 2010. If those fights get made, I can forgive him for his recent string of set-ups.

I don't like the fight either, but you show me one champion who never defended his title against a tomato can..

I guess your boy Chavez never did, right??

both Juanma and Celestino are wasting time. We know what needs to happen, Juanma knows what needs to happen. If a guy calls you out and you run away, how do you possibly respect that??? whatever, the matchup is inevitable at this point

Exactly, same here, only if JuanMa fights Caballero and Gamboa.

Ummm like the guy on your avatar fought 55 world class champions in his 55 fights uh? Right???? Then he went to John's backyard, lost and got paid $80,000.00 after turning down a rematch with Pac for $800,000.00...Really smart uh?

I see where ALL yous guys are coming from BUT let the kid make some $$ and build a record on his term, now days every fan wants a fighter to go and fight the best after their first 10 fights? That makes no sense....See Fernando Vargas for example....:huh

It's a shitty fight that nobody should defend, if JuanMa does'nt fight Caballero by January as he said then I will completely pull my support from him. His lame excuses from the sanctioning fees and demanding a million dollars to fight Caballero have turned me off to him. I highly doubt this fight happens.

I agree, but with this fight, his last three will be against one unproven prospect/journeyman, one past prime fighter, and now a tomato can.

And it's not like there isn't anyone to fight. And the Caballero fight isn't even signed or anything.

Look at DLH, he has had one bum in Campas since 1998.

Journeyman. Not tomato can. He's been stopped twice in 41 fights (never cold) and has some wins and close losses against decent opposition.

    Journeyman.

He has 12 losses on his record, is not even a top 20 fighter, and has lost every single time he stepped up in comp vs B level fighters including against nobodies!

He beat a couple of B level fighters, and lost close decisions to a couple of B level fighters.

He has 12 losses but only two were stoppages.

Again, he is a journeyman. Not a tomato can. Sorry to split hairs, but let's call a spade a spade and not a broom. :good
