Manny Pacquiao said recently hard hitting WBO interim lightweight champion Michael Katsidis will be considered as a future opponent "if the price is right".

Golden Boy matchmaker Sampson Lewkowicz singled out Katsidis as the logical choice for Pacquiao to fight because of his exciting Artuo Gatti type style. Pacquiao said he wouldn't rule out Katsidis even if it means moving up to the 135 pound devision, it depends on the offer.

Katsidis should fight someone in his division. Enough fooling around with Filos who have moved up from the featherweight division all the way up to lightweight I speak of ( Czar Amonsot). Pac started at 106 lbs and 135 is pushing it. I dont think he'll move up. Diaz is the toughest test for Katsidis right now this is the ultimate challenge for the self proclaimed Spartan warrior. is Katsidis ducking Diaz?

I dont see the logic in katsidis fighting pac. I cant see him winning and it could be a setback for his career. He should fight Diaz if he can get a shot.

Mate, Diaz is a tougher fight IMO.I'm sure you know that these Mexicans pride themselves as being Aztec warriors.Damn, those guys are tough and durable as granite. They can dish out and take punishment like you wouldn't believe.Katsidis has a better chance against Pac because of the weight and height advantage.Whatcha reckon?

I just don't think he can beat DIaz to be honest. Still, would love to see him fight either guy. Pac has moved up the weight very comfortably, and its not really relevant that he started at 106. His best weight was probably around 126, although he has still looked the goods at 130. He could make 135, and still be a dangerous fighter, and he is a big name with some great experience.

Your comment about Vic is uneccessary. Vic tried to make the big fights and people avoided him.

It just seems to me Katsidis is not too thrilled about fighting Juan 'Baby Bull Diaz'.He is calling out Pac instead of the Mexican slugger. Why? This tell's that they (Team Katisidis) realise or know that they will have a tough time beating Juan Diaz it sounds like a lack of confidence.Katsidis was gonna fight Guzman? why not fight the Diaz trio?.He's looking at fighters in the 122-130 division. He's a very good fighter and has a good shot against David Diaz IMO even Julio Diaz. There's good fights for Katsidis at 135 -Juan Diaz is a different animal though I believe this fight will be bloody brutal.

Simply because Pac is a MUCH bigger pay day. At the end of the day, these guys are professionals with a career that only lasts a certain amount of time.

I thought people were talking about David Diaz as opposed to Juan Diaz - very different proposition! David Diaz would be an emanently winnable fight

Fair enough, although Manny would be a bigger money spinner, which is why he wants the fight. Would like to see him fight either David or Julio though.

Have a look at what weight Pac started his career at, what his biggest strengths are, and what factors you believe could effect these strengths. Then revise this statement.

I'd give Rocky a helluva chance vs Manny, who'll no doubt stand toe to toe and trade.
