You're right they are my opinions. In my opinion, a great percentage of mma fighters are glorifield barfighters. Their advertising is insulting on top of that. It's downright annoying. They're like Carl's Jr. commercials. Have you seen the movie Idiocracy?

 

Oh and how about the sportsmanship. Is flipping off the crowd a common occurrence in the UFC? I've seen it plenty of times. Is it accepted among mma fans to taunt your beaten and hurt opponent after the stoppage? These are the main faces of the sport doing these things. Classy.

 

It's advertising insults you? Everything that spews out of Floyd Mayweather's mouth should insult me but I accept it as part of the game of building up a fight. Maybe you shouldn't take everything to heart.

As far as glorified bar fighter's are concerned, why don't you name names? Let's see if your argument has any depth or if it is just the misguided opinions of someone who wouldn't know an armbar from their arsehole.

regarding being "classy":
- tyson did'nt show class when he bit holyfields ear. neither did he when he told a guy "i'll **** you 'til you love me", "******, *****", "i will eat your childrens heart"
- mayorga has a lot of "not so classy" moments and as a fellow boxing fan, you know what i am talking about
- pbf talking **** averytime
- ali ( no explanation needed )
- b-hop being all racist when he told calzhage that "he will never be beaten by a white guy"

bottom line, both sports has its low moments

 

Do you lack the ability to read? I said the audience is very large, the target audience of advertisements are the crowd that nearly every sponsor wants; young, educated, and with an expendable income.

MMA fans as a whole are more likely to have a college education and a career rather than a menial job.

The question here is how long MMA will last. It sure as hell hasn't taken over boxing. And if it doesn't change, it will go away. If you folks need facts, it is simple. MMA has not once had a PPV event that got 1,000,000 buys. Boxing has had several. Tyson vs. Lewis I believe had over 2,000,000 PPV buys. That's nuts. The most PPV buys in MMA's history so far is somewhere around 600,000. So really, the comparison is not even close. And yes I know, boxing has all kinds of classless individuals. But the number of classy individuals is far more. Too many MMA fighters lack respect for their opponents. And am I really the only one here who notices that annoying as hell heavy metal theme music they play? Boxing has the traditional sexy ring girl walk the ring in between rounds. No big deal, it's been done for 100 years, IN GOOD TASTE! MMA downright has whores dancing around stripper poles....like a whole posse of whores. Seriously, nobody else notices this? It's simply adolescent. A JOKE!!!! It's as if the product itself isn't enough to entertain the fans so they add all these flashy distractions for the slobbering, bloodthirsty, "gratification now" zombies in the crowd.

MMA as a whole is outselling boxing as a whole, which while continuing to show how stupid you are, really doesn't matter; MMA has shown nothing but growth and potential, it's standing next to any other sport really is irrlevant.

To imply that MMA is not just not more civil between fighters but actually less civil and sportsmanlike is inane.
