Uh... it was an example shown to prove his great stamina at that weight. Do you have reading comprehension problems?

    Styles make fights.

As far as Oscar not KO Gonzales, well, Oscar KO Ruelas in two, knocking him down 3 times in the process. It took Tszyu 9 rounds, never knocking Ruelas down.

Oscar has a 87% KO ratio 140 and below, Tszyu has a 73% KO ratio.

Tszyu was KO by Vince Phillips in his prime at 140, Oscar De La Hoya was not.

Oscar's chin is titanium, Tszyu's is not.

    Ignorance is bliss. :yep

Prime Oscar lost to ONLY Mosley, by SD decision. A fresher, faster Mosley than the one that KO Titanium chin Tony.

Oscar at 147 and below was a monster.

Bingo. I was just about to post the same thing. I wouldnt even say it goes 8 or 9. Oscar was a massive puncher and far busier and crisper at the lower weights. Kostya chin was never up to much. Id go as far to say Kostya gets stopped by as early as the 5th.

I dont like the way posters use these superlatives to boost a fighter but DLH was definitly a monster at the lower weights. I think most of the posters in this thread are either rookies, surfing boxrec, or never saw Oscar in his earlier years.

Oscar's chin is certainly not titanium. He has been hurt in fights and knocked down.

Granted, KT was a beast...but your avatar doesn't exactly do a great deal to support your position.

Oscar's great chin and beautiful jab work very well for 'eem on this one. I fail to see any problems with bangin' with KT either.

Oscar has been in with Vargas, Tito, Mosley, Hopkins, Pacquiao, Mayorga, Chavez, Gatti, P4P some of the hardest hitting boxers, and the only time he was KO was against Hopkins by a body shot, and the only time he was KD was once at 147 vs Ike Quartey, and a couple times when he was fighting 135 and below, but it was a flas KD, caused by unsteady legs and unbalnce as opposed to having a weak chin.

Examples of fighters being KD as a result of getting their chin cracked are Pacquiao vs Hussein, Vargas vs Tito, Mosley vs Forrest, Cotto vs Margarito.

If you don't know the difference, I cannot help you anymore.
