Im not a member of the site that talks boxing, but from what malignaggi said in his interview, he makes it sound like its almost a done deal. Unless Diaz responded negatively, I can't wait to see this one on negative ground. Any thoughts?

They should fight at 137 now.

Interesting if a rematch is looked at. For example were will it be held, I'm sure Paulie won't go to Housten again so probably MSG or a neutral location. Also what weight will it be held at. Diaz is a pretty small 135 pounder as it is and mabye going up to 137.5 is simply too much for his body. Either way I hope it happens cos the first fight was good and whatever division they fight in (providing it is a divison), the winner will have to be highly ranked.

Of all the controversial first fights I can think of this ranks pretty low in terms of one I'd like to see again.

    Nothing will change.
I dont get all the hate Diaz has been getting for this fight.
He fought a pretty good fight and deserved the decision. The judge was pretty bad but still Diaz won it. And people are talking as if Diaz would chicken out of a rematch.
Its Juan Diaz!!! How can u even say he would chicken out of a fight.

Diaz doesnt want a rematch. Because it wont be in Texas and it wont be nuthugging judges. i forget one of the scores but it was absolutely ridiculous. I see why theres controversy but i dont see the big deal. Happens all the time. Paulie needs to get over it.

I re-watched the first fight last night and it was unbelievable how the commentators praised Pauli whenever he did anything and made it sound like Diaz just couldn't do enough. Other than rounds 8-11, Diaz pressed the action effectively while Pauli just flicked his jab out there and missed it about 90% of the time.

I agree it. It was okay while it took place the first time, but watching Paulie on his bicycle for 36mins is not my idea of a good time.

Yup, that's the fight I watched live.

Paulie was ineffective, and Juan was as well, but Juan I thought landed the more telling punches in a lot of rounds to take them. Flicking a jab and circling does not equal effective aggression or ring generalship.. why the **** people think it does is beyond me.

I hate how you have to be a k.o. artist to get any respect anymore.

Pernell Whitaker would have never gotten to be a big name in today's game because he didn't have 90% ko rating.

This is BOXING- hit and don't be hit. Weather that is coming by putting your opponents on their asses or BOXING circles around them (look at the punch stats) you should get credit for the win! Paulie won that fight

Diaz would get schooled even worse at 140 with a bigger ring. He doesn't belong at 140 and should get himself back to 135 pronto.
