Decent fight really. I think if Cedric's stamina holds well he has a great chance. I assume Ustinov is gonna be the fave. I'll take Boswell by points, maybe tko.
You got it. Boswell outboxed McCline all night but Jameel came back as you pointed out and won it with little time to spare. Not to get off topic but I think that fight was more indicative of what Jameel McCline could do when he turns it on rather than any shortcomings of Boswell. McCline has shown glimpses (knocking down Byrd and Peter) of being a serious threat but he simply could not ever shake that sparring partner mentality and too many rounds of being passive were the result. Anyways, I'm glad that Boswell is getting this chance. Life has a funny way of coming full circle as it was he who was actually supposed to fight Vitali 6 years ago before Kirk Johnson pulled out of the Lennox Lewis fight. Now he finds himself on the undercard of Vitali's fight in the same arena.
Ustinov is just big and strong, doesn´t have good boxing skills. Boswell has the skills, should be an easy night for him.
In my opinion, Boswell would've put up 10 times a better fight than Blubber. That's not saying much though.
I'm not really sure how that even factors into the equation considering the fact that Boswell was supposed to fight Vitali and not Kirk Johnson.
Very dangerous fight for Ustinov, who is pretty untested so far. But if he can't win against a 40 year old Boswell, he won't go anywhere anyway.
