Hate to say this but there's no future for him in the division, there's no way in hell he will be able to give either Klitschkos a half decent fight. Hope he's just doing it as a "hobby" or whatever and not take it too seriously. Fights with either Klitschkos could be seriously damaging physically.
I hope he didn't **** his money up and make a comeback cause he's broke. I like Briggs but I think his stamina issues because of his asthma limits him to much he gasses out to quick.
I agree, he definitely needs to change his training methods. No more of this body building bull****. He needs to work on the cardio badly and get down to 240-245 lbs. He would be much more effective at that weight.
Always liked Shannon but the guy has become nothing more than a lumbering fighter who simply does not throw punches. When he beat Lyakhovich I literally jumped out of my seat I was so happy. I mean seriously, I wanna see the guy do good but he's just a stationary target now.
He's one of the few American HW's that actually shows up in shape... I remember when he weighed a career high at 273 he was unbelievably shredded as if he spent all his time in the weight room
When i read the thread title, for a second I actually thought it might be this fight, due to it being in Mexico, but I guess that Mexico is the place to go for former heavyweight champs on the comeback trail.
Briggs has a shot in this division, he has come out of nowhere to become HW champion before. I don't doubt him doing something big in the HW division again.
