Shane Mosley-Kostya Tszyu at 140

Well no im not saying he had 2 hard fights and the rest just easy nights. However IMO the fights where he was really pushed to the limit he broke and broke badly.

yeah and I know boxing and I say that wild and free swinging Pryor would get caught and countered by hard shots from the opening bell til he falls down because the ***** won't last without his 'special mix' and I also say that as great as JCC was, his best weight wasn't at 140. It's not a lock by any means but I'm taking KT in that fight. The version of JCC that existed in his first few fights at 140 would make one hell of a fight out of it though.

 

and that has about as much validity as me saying that since KT handled Viper easily, he would handle Mosley even easier.

Whatever mate. You entitled to your opinion. I grew up on both fighters. I have ALL of Shanes fights on VHS and have watched them literally hundreds of times. I know my boy.

As for KT handing Forrest that was in the amateurs and was a beautiful performance. But am's DOES NOT translate to the pro's. Remember what Tyson did to Biggs as a pro? Well that same Biggs prevented Mike from getting a place in the Olympics. Styles makes fights. You stick to your BS maths. Shane is all wrong for a guy like Kostya. End of story end of thread.

 

I was making fun of the posters saying that KT quit in two tough fights. Learn sarcasm.

 

Kostya Tszyu is one of the most overated fighters of all time, the fact that he quit against glass jaw Hatton says it all. He should have had his fight purse withheld.


Shane Mosley was one of the best 135 fighters ever, and had he moved to 140 and not skipped straight to 147-154 he could have been the best ever at that weight.

Very few could beat Mosley at 140 IMO.

 

I dont think Chavez stylistically it would have made any difference i feel Tszyu still would have beat a Prime Chavez.

Thats the truth.

Pryor on the other hand different story.

The hatton fight is a write off due to what went on over there in the UK. I mean you seen that fight yeah. It was Bull****.

I think any day Tszyu beats any version of Chavez. As like Dela Hoya had the same way to beat him style wise.

I feel the best tape of Tszyu to really get a measure of his ability is the MA Gonzalez fight.

Total break down of a guy that had never touched the canvas.

Taller guys with good chins, defense, and skills troubled Mosley the most. See....Forrest, De La Hoya, and Wright, all were taller than Mosley and had better boxing skills than him (plus he couldnt hurt them). KT would have been too small, too slow, and not busy enough to beat Mosley.

 

Here's a list of some of the guys that fought at (were at least champions) at 140lbs.

Tony Calzoneri- A 3 division champion who held 2 titles (Lightweight and jr. welterweight) at the same time.

Aaron Pryor- A beast at 140lb retired with a record of 39-1 (with 35 kos), including ko's of Antonio Cervantes and Alexis Arguello.

Duilio Lou- Italian Master who retired with a record of 115-3-8

Wilfred Benitez- Puerto Rican who first became champion at 17 years old and was himself a 3 division champion. With wins over Duran, Palomino, and Cervantes.

Tszyu doesn't even qualify to hold those guy's spit buckets.
