:think You might be on to something there. I hope that Sergei still has something to offer, he seems like a nice guy with some good skills. He isn't that old, but his last few fights left little to be desired.

    Huh...very interesting.

Kind of thought I'd heard the last from both of them in this sport...:yep

He was with King when he fought Brewster (one of the great HW fights of the decade)

Really? When did he make the switch, and with whom did he sign after King?

I don't know. It seemed like he just quit after his loss to Briggs and I didn't think he would fight again. I knew he was still training in Scottsdale with Jirov but I think him and King split after the Briggs fight.

:think wow, I didn't know he was with king. For some reason I thought he was with Sauerland before. He has been training with Jirov huh? That's cool.

Yep, he was with King at the time he fought Lamon. I don't understand why he walked off but I always thought he was still capable of some great fights and left too soon. Same with Ibragimov.

I agree. I would actually have loved to have seen those two go at it. Would have been a good fight methinks. Damn it all, I STILL haven't seen Sergei vs. Brewster.:-(

Are you serious? You should be able to find it somewhere. I bet somebody on this site has a copy and can make you one. I grew up hating white fighters (I was young and dumb) and Sergei made a fan out of me.

:-( Sadly I am very serious. Always wanted to, but you would be surprised at how hard it is to find this fight actually. I have tried several sources with no luck. I heard it was a brutal, great fight though.

I don't know, but hopefully he will bounce back refreshed and re-motivated.
