Cotto: "I'm not an overrated Hatton"

    That's how it goes, all fighters do that and Cotto is trying to be heard/bring entertainment on the show. To be honest, I have both Hatton and Cotto rated the same.

    I like Cotto but you CAN'T afford going in against the P4P#1 fighter having poor defense especially when the P4P#1 fighter is insanely fast, very active/serious stamina and hits hard.

    I'm not one to complain about trash talking, it just sounds weird coming from cotto. never heard him bad mouth anyone. don't understand the need of bad mouthing hatton of all people. he can help the fight more if he starts talking about pacman's family in old fashioned mayorga style :hey

    I dont understand this either, Hatton never disrespected Cotto.

    I hope Pacquiao knocks this trash talker out.

    He says it at radio stations. He says it at press conferences. I don't even like what Cotto is implying against Pacquiao... It's like he's saying; I'm not a completely garbage fighter - you know, like the only kind Manny can beat.. I'm not an OVERRATED Hatton. I'm not ass. I'm not a ****ing bum. :lol:

    I just figured out who I'm rooting for.. **** Cotto for this one.

    im curious as to why you rate Cotto and Hatton the same scar.... not to argue, im just truly curious.

    Based on what?

    For me... H2H cotto mauls hatton in a tough fight, talking resume, cotto has bigger and better wins, with one loss that has an * by it by most intelligant boxing fans, and has been succesful at two weights.

    Whats your take on having hatton on cottos level?

    if you dont want to answer thats fine... i was just curious.

    Also, obviously how cotto does against pac will effect your ranking no?

    he's not talking trash, just being brutally honest. And he's right. Does anyone here really believe that Hatton was not badly overrated by most people?
    He fought a bunch of small journeymen and shot fighters, was first shown up by Collazo but some people STILL didn't take the hint, and then totally exposed against Pac and PBF.
    There's a difference between talking trash and just being honest.

    I can understand Cotto dissing DLH since DLH didnt want to give him a fight but whats the beef with Hatton, did Ricky **** his wife?

    I dont think he ment to trash talk hatton, i just think hes a bit pumped on how hes supposed to be an easy fight for pac, and how everyone was talking early on about this fight, i think he just said this because he honestly feels this way perhaps.

    If he called hatton a bum, trash, garbage, ect... i think that would be talking ****, but if hes saying hatton is overrated (which i do not think hatton is) then maybe hes just truly saying he thinks hatton is overrated and not trying to be disrespectful.

    other then that i dont know

    People think Cotto is this quiet humble guy. Hello, he called Mayweather and Margarito pussies (Margarito on national TV). He said DLH was a quitter. Cotto is one cold dude. People just figuring this out? Cotto still kicks Manny's ass though.

    Some crude moronic boxing journalists and "fans" make ridiculous parallels between Hatton's lack of defense and come forward style with Cotto's...he simply had to set the record straight.

    Many idiots around the world are thinking "O man...he KO'd Hatton in 2 rounds...That MUST mean Cotto is gonna get knocked out too :shock::admin"


    Yea...I'd be calling Hatton overrated too. And Im sure many people asked him certain questions about his thoughts on Manny's recent win. Its not like he spout off the mouth so quickly.

    I dont really think Hatton is that overrated.... Hattons wins over urango and malignaggi when hes been passed his own best for quite some time now is a testement to how good he can be or was, at his best. Urango and Malignaggi are not world beaters, but he won regardless....

    also, nobody can beat collazo cleanly besides sugar shane mosley so far... i see no reason why hatton should have to when hes not even close to a legit welter, yet he won... regardless.

    Hatton is (was) a world class fighter, and considering how good you have to be to win on that stage, he deserves the props he gets. Nobody ever claims hes the best fighter in the world... but for a small moment he was the best fighter at 140lbs in the world, and thats more then a lot of fighters will ever be able to say.

    I'm curious as to why you have Cotto and Hatton rated the same? Cotto is a much better fighter that isn't 1 dimensional and Cotto has fought much better compentitsion.
