Showtime aren't going to allow home cooking to ruin their beautiful tournament. They will have made that very clear to every promoter, fighter and official involved. Just one person getting a bogus decision and going through to the next round would make a mockery of the whole thing. We'll see fair decisions across the board, I'm sure.

If it's a close one you'd expect the decision to go with the hometown favourite. But I don't think we'll see anything like a robbery of Reid-Ottke proportions.

I don't look for anything to be different just because of the tourney format. Promoters are still responsible for putting the bouts on. The fights that aren't title fights mean they get to choose the refs and judges they want. The officials and refs still like being called on for these plum assignments. Do wrong by the promoter and you don't work for them again.

I don't think Jermaine will get a fair shake in Germany. He's gonna have to knock AA out. Fortunately, he has the speed and enough power to do it.

People are selling Jeramine short. He's not shot. He's fought much better competition (Hopkins 2x, Pavlik 2x, Froch), while King Arthur is simply another sheltered Euro fighter a la Cal-slappy. Beyond Miranda, who has he fought of note?

This tournament is a superb idea. It will expose Abraham and Kessler.

    Is this thread a joke?

jemaine taylor is like the black golden boy. They keep bringing the guy back from the dead everytime he gets koed. No tune up fights for him. Throw him right back in there with the wolves. If anyone should be worried about the decision its abraham. Froch was winning that fight easy on my card and look at how the judges were scoring that fight until the KO. Hopkins took both those decisions aswell.

I don“t think it will expose one of the two because they are more than a hype job. btw. the guy in your avatar was a cherrypicker for so many years you should think about the term sheltered "euro" fighter ;)

i think this is a very valid point :good especially so early in the tourney, the last thing showtime is gonna want to do is have a robbery or even a clear but close decision be a blowout on the cards. i'm sure these judges are gonna be told to put their blinders on and call it square.
