So you may remember I helped out with the card over here on the 31st July. I may have started the odd thread about it. Most of my week this week has been taken up with getting the final version of the dvd ready for Sunday which is Gloveworkx second card. For the record, I'm helping out, am not a member of Gloveworkx. The final cut was given to me Tuesday night but if I thought my troubles were over I was sadly mistaken. Every dvd needs a cover so with very little notice I roped in Wayne Smale whos previously contributed some great stuff to the Fist to design a cover. Wayne thankfully responded, interrupting his plans for a holiday to take time out to help. Next was a label for the dvd and thanks to my consumate skills with graphics programs (ie none) this took a week and still isn't quite right. Oh well. Copying the disc wasn't a problem, my speciality there which just left getting the covers and labels printed. Luckily at the moment I'm working for a company that sells printer cartridges but I think the secretary got a bit suspicious after the 150th color print went through the main office. Shes into muscleman so I promised her a signed Mark de Mori pic as I have none left of myself at the moment. So after many frustrating hours on open office, gimp and ms paint ('why doesn't it ****ing print the ****ing size I specified?') I now present the final version that will be available for sale this Sunday at Perth. I'll be keeping the price ultra low ($10-$15) as opposed to most dvds as my anonymous backer in this venture and I agree that we'd rather (hopefully) sell more and get the dvd out there than worry about profit and margins. So ladies and gentleman, I know it wasn't the greatest card in the world, and I know it doesn't look much, but I proudly present my first venture into the world of...um....ah...anyway, heres my first boxing dvd.
