Froch - He has great attributes. His stature in the ring is immense. He is a proper old school fighter who you will never ever question his heart and will. Delivers punches from a base that delivers immense power. Very solid pro. Does everything well but nothing exceptional.

Grinds people down. If you're smart with a good engine and decent boxing ability, you'll beat Froch.

However, Froch's dedication and self belief is awesome. You need to break this kid down mentally as well.

I just cant see Kessler messing it up, and Froch would go for the knockout from the off, just to try to prove a point to Mr Calzaghe.

    What would you go for?

Froch is smart enough not to do that. If Froch isn't Mcracken is. There's no chance of Froch going into a 12 round fight looking for a KO against someone who's never looked remotely like getting KO'd in his life.

determined, great beard, heart, grit, conditioned, defence with his face, circle of a battleship, best punch the right cross, predictable punching pattern, open to counters, one dimentional, paws with the jab, good in adversity, lacks a lot of fundamentals.

He's done really good so far, he can be outskilled, but has prevailed with a great chin, work rate, power and size. His luck won't hold up forever.

His skills are probably C level. His overall ability is probably a B- or a B.

he's strong, good stamina, decent handspeed, some good skills.

on the flipside, he's disjointed, can be a slow starter (westerman, magee, taylor, adamu etc), keeps the hands too low.

dirrell is gonna take him to university. :bbb

Whilst the end results were good in both fights, his boxing performance's against Pascal and Taylor were far from his best.
Froch does a lot of things well,he has good handspeed, decent power,a decent jab,and very good finishing skills, its whether or not he decides to utilise them thats the problem. He seems to want a tear up and forgets the basics, how many times have you heard McCracken say "c'mon Carl, remember what we worked on" ? To beat him you need fast hands, fast feet, decent pop,and a good chin.Peppering him with pitty pat punches all night wont do,he'll eventually find the target and walk you down.Taylor had a good gameplan to start with,he kept moving and mixed the jab with some heavier punches, this kept Froch honest. The problem was by the end of the 5th Taylor slowed the pace which allowed Froch to start timing the punche's,he then started slipping and countering Taylors big punche's.
Dirrell might look like Krytonite on paper, but his fast hands don't have any weight, and when he sets himself to throw a big shot he leaves himself wide open.I still believe after a shakey start Froch will catch Dirrell with some heavy shots during the middle rounds and will finish him before the championship rounds.
Kessler might beat Froch, but it wont be the one sided schooling so many people are saying it will be.Calzaghe stung Kessler numerous times and i'm pretty certain Froch has heavier hands than feather fisted Joe.
Ward is a well rounded Boxer, but i dont think he has the power to keep Froch off him for 12 rounds.
AA may have looked good at 160,but at 168 he'll be facing a big, strong and durable SMW in Froch.I dont think his "clamshell" technique will work against the bigger boys.
Taylor, well some say he will have learn't from the first fight and will know how to beat Froch next time out.I think Froch will know he has the power to finish Taylor and will take the fight to him from the opening bell.Taylor was extrememely gun shy in the second Pavlik fight and was unwilling to unload his big shots,it was the big shots that kept Froch at bay.

On a good night i'd give Froch's boxing skills a 7 out of 10,but as already said, his conditioning, strength, durability and iron will make up for lots of deficiencie's.One things for sure,he's exciting.:good
